The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

I got the admission packet yesterday in the mail while I was at STOMP! :smiley:
It’s so beautiful :’)

so is AAP Transfer Scholars’ Day the name for the Bruin Day for transfers? I’m confused.

@RamonaFalls‌

It would appear so.

Is anyone on here going to Bruin Transfer Day?

didn’t get the package yet :(

Got the package in the mail today.

I agree with @Cayton. It has a Play-Dough scent lol.

I got my packet from UCLA&UCSD today. UCLA’s is all nice and put together beautifully. UCSD, thin pamphlet that looks like a coupon pamphlet. I already signed up to UCLA, but I might go to San Diego for a weekend, just to check it out.

Oh, to add, when is the last day to sign up for Bruin Day? It’s not today is it? UCSD e-mailed for a reminder to sign up since today was the last day.

Got the packet today also, nicer than UCSD’s and like someone previously said gives more info on the school.

I received my packet today too. It’s heavily damaged and I’m considering calling their admission’s help desk for a new one. I’m willing to pay extra for a brand new copy and the rental fee for the armored truck that it will arrive in.

You guys will never believe what was included with my packet…Someone put a sticky note with their phone number on it. Wow. Admission to UCLA and a hot date?

Never mind. A sticky on my desk got stuck to it…and I’m an idiot.

As everyone has said, the UCLA packet is nice and I couldn’t smell anything…

After dragging my feet, I finally SIRed to UCLA. Now looking forward to sending in transcripts and stuff. Do I not have to include any other information besides the address of where to send the transcript when asking for official transcripts? Also, I am not looking forward to retrieving my archived AP exam scores, last time it took nearly a month to get it.

@BurntCorpse‌

lmao

@jonjon03‌

The process of sending transcripts to UCLA is pretty simple. Just go to your community college’s admissions office or whichever office handles transcripts and ask for them to send transcripts to UCLA. They’ll give you a form to fill out and then they will send your transcripts for you.

Well, I’m assuming that your community college does that because mine does.

@burntcorpse :))

@Cayton That part is the simple part, but retrieving old AP scores means I would have a fax a request to collegeboard (why do they still use fax machines?). It’s pretty straight forward, but another thing to do during finals week. Good thing though since I’m transitioning from semester to quarter system it seems like I have an extra long summer break before UCLA.

@jonjon03

Sounds like it’ll be a pain in the ass, but it shouldn’t be hard. When does UCLA want these scores by?

@RamonaFalls AAP Transfer Scholars’ Day and Transfer Bruin Day overlap with each other, so that’s why they appear together in the events tab. But the AAP event is in the morning starting at 9. Then Bruin Day for Transfers is from 1-5.

@Cayton I’m pretty sure AP scores are due by July 15.

@CollegeDropout1‌ I will be attending Bruin Transfer Day.

Btw, I just got my packet in the mail today. There is definitely some sort of smell to it.

@Cayton @24luke16 Yup, July 15. Have plenty of time, just hate fax machines for no logical reason.

which history/other humanities guys wanna room with an asian dude once I get this ■■■■■■■ housing app working? Trying to get to the transfer themed community
