@sonic23 - By June 1, they want official transcripts of all classes prior to Spring. So from my understanding, if they don’t have your Winter grades, then you have to resend. But call them and see if you can send winter with Spring in July. Maybe since they have the test of yours they’ll say ok. Never know unless you ask.

My contract states:

We must receive transcripts of all work completed through fall 2013 by June 1, 2014; transcripts of all work completed through spring 2014 must be received by July 15, 2014.

So i thought they just needed grades up to fall 2013. ill call at 1.

I may have remembered the details incorrectly. From what your contract, and probably all contracts say, it sounds like you’re fine. I never sent them transcripts until now, so I guess I was misremembering.

Using the UCLA financial aid calculator, changing from on campus to off campus yields the same self-help award in both situations, which is the same amount I have on my provisional award letter.

Hey guys! please help if you can…
2 questions:

1: do we have to send a transcript from our old high school?

and

2: Does anyone have any info on where transfers usually house on campus?

Thanks!

Is there a Facebook group for UCLA 2014 transfers?

just got a small brochure regarding new student orientation
$135 for transfers :/

I mean I guess it probably includes 3 meals since it’s an all day event but that seems like a lot otherwise

@RamonaFalls yea i had googled it before and found the site for it. When i saw the price i thought it was a lot but i guess its worth it because we can register for classes there with help from an advisor/counselor

I still don’t quite understand how registration works at UCLA. Something about first and second pass

I read something, not sure where, that said that the first and second pass was only for continuing students. The way I understand it, is that we are supposed to register for classes on our new student orientation on whichever date we choose. For new transfer students we only have to register once.

I think with the first and second pass, for continuing students, they only let students register for a limited number of units the first pass. Then on another date in the future they can register for the rest. I guess that’s to keep students from registering for a bunch of classes before other students can register for any.

@RamonaFalls your right its confusing all i found was

FIRST PASS. During their first pass, students may only enroll in 10 units. This gives all undergraduates a better chance to obtain at least two courses needed toward graduation. Students who do not enroll during their first pass appointment period must wait until their second pass appointment to enroll.

SECOND PASS. During their second pass, students can add courses up to the maximum units allowed by their College or school. They can enroll from the beginning of the specified appointment day and time through midnight on Friday of the second week of classes, when wait lists are eliminated and Study Lists of enrolled courses become official. Students should be enrolled in courses with unit credit by that date to avoid paying the late Study List filing fee and obtaining instructor signatures and College/school approval on Enrollment Petitions (for more details, see “Official Study Lists”).

Guys…I need your help…
I just received this email from UCLA saying “thank you for letting us know you’ve already accepted your transfer admission offer”…

But actually I DID NOT…I intend to go to Berkeley…I did click into their SIR website, but I haven’t clicked on anything…I mean I neither saying “accept” or “decline”…it basically says I am in that 0%…I didnt even finished my first screen…what’s happening here…

if you didn’t pay who cares

I am about to sign up to Bruin Day, bring a couple friends, but I am still not 110% sure that I will attend though. I doubt it will not be a problem, but just want to make sure.

Do we need to RSVP for Transfer Bruin Day?

@24luke16 yes.

Does anyone know how, or if, we can contact an admissions adviser or transfer coordinator via phone? I know there’s the option to email admissions through the UCLA portal, but I’d feel more comfortable expressing my questions and situation and having immediate feedback.

222 dollars for parking for summer session

god damn it UCLA ugh

@RamonaFalls thats if you can get one, on fb transfer students were saying its hard to even get one since they run out quick, you basically pply foe one and hope you get one.
