The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

I guess TSP is like transfer summer program? I guess it was recommended for those that applied to the program to get 202 but it wasn’t required or reserved solely for them. So don’t worry!

When and where are we supposed to pay for the orientation?

202 is the Orientation you should go apply for if you are TSP (AAP Transfer Summer Program); however, I don’t think it is solely for those students. I was able to reserve the day, after all.

@Aaryan520, I think it’ll come up on BruinBill but I’m not entirely positive. I’ll try to find out.

I got 204, but it doesn’t matter what date you go.

On another note, the people on the transfer page on Facebook make me want to jump off a bridge lol.

Yeah, why would it matter what date you get? You will still get your classes, right?

I think it’s set up so each session has the same classes available and they open more sections if needed. At Berkeley it isn’t the same way.

@CSB111 Why do you feel like " jumping off a bridge"

I got session 202 and I got into TSP!!!

@sonic23‌ The same thing happened to me.

hey @2016Candles‌ my daughter signed up for Aug 1, #202. She also signed up for the overnighter!

well, it’s a whole day thing for some reason so I signed up for the one right after my summer class ends. What the hell do you even do all day?

Our whole family is super-excited @RamonaFalls‌ and wish it was three days like the freshman have. I can’t imagine not being excited.

I’ll be there at 7:30, but I seriously doubt I’ll stay til the wee hours of the night.

I’m not the least bit excited about orientation itself, but I’m looking forward to picking classes, and hopefully meeting some other Sociology majors.

@sonic23‌

Thanks. I am a history major, well technically will be Pre until I finish up my courses. Had another question if you do not mind. Some what of a dumb question, I am still stuck on CC mode with certain courses filling up with certain professors and having to find another professor. This won’t be an issue at UCLA will it? Courses do not fill up, do they?. I’ve been told certain professors will just teach 1 course for the quarter and move on. I mean, if going to orientation will help me get the course and professor that I need, then I should attend, if not, won’t matter, then I won’t.

I just left UCLA campus, and everybody is completely wiped out since they’re in the middle of finals. It’s a campus full of zombies. I think we’re all in for a little bit of shock once classes start.

I think some of you who aren’t excited are at UCLA regularly now. I call foul! :((

Anyway, I read in several places that during the orientation a lot of people made friends that lasted all through school. Of course, these were freshman orientation, but I see it as a great first jump in the water with social connections for you guys.

@Tik1127‌ rude awakening, a lot get filled. We found some tips on that. Here’s the link:

@lindyk8‌ - in all fairness, I practically grew up at UCLA and Westwood, so it’s not really out of the norm. I’ve only been there twice since I decided to attend- once for a transfer event and today. That’s it  I’m not excited cuz I I’m never excited to be at a semi- required event for 12+ hours. It just seems grueling …

I hear ya, @cayton, especially if you’ve already been to a transfer event.
