The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

Hey guys, how did you manage to crop your pictures for the ucla bruin card? Seems like the rectangle is too small no matter how many times i crop / shrink the photo? (cant fit shoulders in the rectangular box given)

@goodjobdaveman I knew I forgot something. I think UCLA only want that standard passport pic, so as long as it adequately shows your face you should be fine. The picture should be roughly be about 600 pixels by 600 pixels (or more) to print out an adequate picture for 2" x 2." If you have trouble cropping it, then you could probably find a free passport app either on app or android to use. If anything I believe you could just take your photo at orientation, but not sure how long the line will be.

@goodjobdaveman‌

I recommend getting your picture taken at UCLA’s bruincard center. It’s more convenient and you get your ID then and there.

I wonder who just registered for their first UCLA course prior to orientation???

Oh wait it’s me!!! :))

Are you willing to switch to westwood chateau (university apartment) for de neve, the transfer dorms.? It’s close to campus, and it’s a 2-bed 4-person. Only $7,752.

And we all know how GREAT passport pictures look!

How did you do that @2016candles?

@lindyk8‌ Check your PMs

I would also like to know. Why so secretive?

Haha it got Ramona out! :stuck_out_tongue:

Quick course question: if your major says at the end of all the main requirements, “plus 2 additional courses in any upper division class”. Can a course that says “this is not a GE course” be applied?

BTW, don’t fret over candles comment. It would only apply in a very limited number of cases and won’t help my daughter.

Yes @lindyk8 I think it can still be applied. The 2 additional courses would be considered major electives, not GE courses.

Oh, got it. Thx.

Feel free to PM me, and I just may tell you how I was able to register early ;-)

UCLA is flooding!!

Apparently it’s pretty bad from what folks are saying. It’s on the news but I’m not home yet.

I’m watching the news and it’s NUTS.

Wow.

The water is calf deep! This is nutz!! OMG!

I saw this on ESPN of all places…

It’s in ESPN because Pauley Pavilion is affected.

I feel bad for people whose cars are parked in the affected lots.

I feel bad for Northern California. SoCal is sucking us dry.
