Nevermind, I figured it out. Students can avoid the 2.75% convenience fee by paying with an electronic check, which requires the routing number, bank account number, and bank account type to be submitted in BruinBill.

There are an awful lot of open spots in history, political science, and psychology classes, so I recommend that all of you who aren’t satisfied with your class schedules take advantage of this before it’s too late.

I just got my refund. I’m rich! Rich I tell you!

I really wanted to start using my health insurance. From what I’ve read, it says coverage starts as soon as you pay but I can’t set up appointments Maybe on Monday when the quarter officially starts.

@nechronix On ccle I think (don’t have a link but should be easy to google). Though it depends on your professor if s/he posted it up yet or not. Either thaN that you could try googling it to find an old syllabus.

Sorry cat on just saw your post now, but yea that 2.75% is a bit much without a max.

Quick question for those who have taken out loans… how do you change the status from ‘undecided’ to accepted? Or is it too late to take the loan at this point? I can’t seem to figure it out.

My professor said we can go to office hours to pick up material we need early next week during office hours. However in the email it wasn’t specified if we need to make an appointment or just drop in basis… should I assume I can just show up?

I’m not sure how to change your loan status, but you can take out loans at any point during the school year. It’s not too late at all.

Just give FA a call between 10-12 or 2-4. Or drop by the office anytime from 9am.

…UCLA’s volunteer day is coming up…it’s on September 29.

I don’t want to volunteer, but I’ve heard that your RA will almost try to force you to go, any way they can. I know this much, though: it wouldn’t be “volunteer day” if I were forced to do it or coerced by the school or by some other authority.

Of course it’s empty. Move in starts tomorrow :P.

I just hope it isn’t hectic on Saturday…who am I kidding, that might be the busiest day of move in since a lot of families are to busy to take their students to the school on a weekday and help them move in. My family can’t help me move in tomorrow or Friday, so we’re going on Saturday.

@Cayton Yah I also would think Saturday might be the busiest day, but everything should be organized so that there won’t be too many problems.

Oh yah just to let you guys know, I believe all students are given free meals up until Sunday night (this is when our meal plans take effect), but one swipe per visit. And you’re able to swipe in up to 4 people once during move-in. Ask once you get here though for more detail.

Moving in tomorrow, right? Also, did UCLA ever approve your transfer to Gardenia?

@24luke16

That’s great! UCLA food can’t be beat. My family will really appreciate the free food. Of course, since I got the 19P plan, I can get them all the food they want throughout the quarter and I’ll probably still have lots of swipes left to spare, lol
