@cayton, no way =)) I’d consider it if it was on campus.

Really? I keep logging into CCLE but none of my professors or the TA has posted anything. I am nervous I am looking in the wrong area.

@nationalmuse, nice avatar! When you login to ccle you should be able to click on the courses. From there, you should see the syllabus and whatnot above “site info.” If nothing is there, your professor has yet to post anything.

@Zalrons

We’re not alone! Yay!

And how did the move-in go? How’s your roommate?? How’s dorm life in general? So curious.

@ Thanks for the help dude, and thanks for the compliment.
I guess my professors will post something this weekend.
=D

Just want to document our move-in experience - thank you @24luke16 for advice on moving to Rieber Terrace!

Arrived 7:45am for 8:30 appointment on Thursday (great traffic)
Dropped D off to sign in and try to get first pick of bed -she did.
Dropped DH with everything at lot 11 and I parked in lot 7.
No one checked our parking permit.
Two helpers pushed our carts. Later in the day we saw parents and students pushing their own carts (from lot 11) which they had to return themselves.
From 10 to 2pm, the drive to lot 7 was inching along and there were long lines to get on a shuttle. It was faster to walk to and from the lots during that time.
Dorm: there were leftover linens and towels; room needed a vacuuming.and wipe down of furniture and bathroom (CSI students resided there).
Forgot: combo lock, TV cable - we left to buy.
Didn’t need: mattress pad
May need later: office chair and better walking shoes.
Hard: moving furniture to plug in power strips
We didn’t stay for a meal. The rule is, only one time during move in days, can you swipe in up to 4 guests.
Doesn’t work: Chromecast but working on it.
Really helpful: Command hooks and strips, chair cushion
Thermostat had to be reset to be able to adjust the temperature.

Good luck to the class of 2016!

Anyone else think their packing too much? Everything fits in a sedan but filled nearly every space. I have enough supply that I won’t even have to go to a store ever during my quarter at ucla.

Can someone who moved in already tell me if a floor lamp is necessary? Im leaning towards not bringing one but just wondering if the lighting will be enough without it?

I feel like I am the only one here that got an off campus apartment and everyone else is dorming…

@nechronix

I’m sure there are others here who got off-campus apartments.

I’m going to be leaving in about an hour to move in.

This should be interesting.

!!!

@goodjobdaveman, I think the lighting is fine

@cayton, move-in went pretty well. Took about an hour. My roommate hasn’t moved in yet. Good luck today!! Hope you like your building and roommates

I forgot who asked, but I’m also in off campus apartment. My room mate isn’t here yet so all alone in me room right now. There is a ton of people roaming the streets and I feel kind of left out cause I don’t really know anyone yet from ucla.

I hope everyone else had a pleasant move in experience and hope you all do well at school.

@jonjon03, wanna hang? I’ve got alcohol and dank if you’re into that

@Zalrons

It went very well and I’ve really hit it off with my roommate and with the students in the adjacent dorm. I can see why people love the dorm life.

Rieber is pretty great!!!

@cayton, sick man!! My roommate is pretty cool as well. Party at Jonjon’s apartment BTW haha

@zalrons Usually I want alcohol, but gonna pass for today. Just exhausted, but can’take seem to fall asleep. Appreciate the invite though.

@cayton I need sleep, what are you doing, haha. Kinda wish I got the dorms, but I figure it be way too hard to smoke. Glad you’re doing good at reiber.

Woops meant to say “I need sleep, what are you doing” to zalrons
