Should we be expecting anything in the mail if we were accepted?

Thank all of you, especially @Cayton, for all the information during this stressful period. Everyone that is still waiting, I really hope you hear soon and that it is awesome news!

@emilynicole83 Congrats to you too! If you decide to go, hopefully we can have some classes together. I had a job with more flexible hours, but I got transferred, in January, and it’s not flexible. I’m considering quitting, and finding a PT job. I didn’t really think I’d get into UCLA, so I hadn’t really put too much time planning before now. I gotta figure this out because I REALLY want to be a Bruin!

Just a fancy acceptance packet!

@ishineinthedark

No problem. Any time.

Accepted

Didn’t think of getting into UCLA, since I finished my personal statement 3 minutes just before the deadline LOL
Get in UCSD as a cognitive science major, now I have no idea where to go.

congrats to everyone who got in!
i was wondering my parents live around 30 minutes from UCLA (we live in East LA) but would you commute or apply for campus housing?thank you and congrats to everyone again :)

Hi, I got into communications 4.0. Hi @cayton it’s meeeeee! I’m finally on here.

@Emirieking

Congrats! And it took you long enough to make an account! :)

haha @cayton I had one I just didn’t talk on it :P

@Emirieking

The important thing is that you’re on the forums, now. This forum is great if you need any questions answered regarding transferring or other college-related topics. Don’t be afraid to ask questions!

@Cayton do you know the latest date that UCLA may still be making transfer decisions? please tell me it’s tomorrow.

@hopefulhunny

The absolute latest will be by the end of April. I know, that isn’t a great answer to your question, but that’s what they’ve said.

But I think they’re releasing some decisions every day until then, so just keep checking your portal and hope for the best.

The TAP program at my school required paperwork, and I realized the lady put the wrong alternate major (I literally just caught this now). I think I may be screwed, or it just doesn’t matter. I am assuming the school just says if I am TAP certified but I guess I won’t know until the end of the week lol.

@OCaptnMyCaptn - “should we be expecting anything in the mail?”

@cayton - “Just a fancy acceptance packet!”

Better than UCSB. All they sent was a one-page letter that was a reprint of their online message.
Best so far: UC Riverside - a 3D brochure!

Really? I thought UCSB was professional looking and that packet they sent was thick as hell. UCR though, that was cheesy. 3D sounds like some hologram or something; it was more like a pop up book.

@lindyk8, congrats to your daughter on UCLA! I’m curious, how long did it take for the info to get to your house after acceptance? A couple weeks?

@lindyk8

UCSB sent me the reprinted letter(UCI reprinted their online letter and sent it to me too, lol) and some papers with information on the school. It was preeeeetty nice.

Can’t wait to get the UCLA packet in the mail!

@Zalrons

I remember the UCSB and UCI mail coming a week to a week-and-a-half after getting the good news online.

@cayton they musta run out of paper or ink cause all Em got was the letter. [-(

@lindyk8

Budget cuts effect even the acceptance packets now, lol

@Zalrons re UCSB’s stunningly beautiful one-page letter in black ink, I think about 7-10 days.
