It varies on the coach, I have gotten most emails back same day. But sometimes, I get mine 2 days after I send the email.
I was told I should send a follow up email if they don’t respond in a week, which is what it is looking like for me. The thing is I’m not quite sure what to write in the follow up.

OMG signing up for that and tracking packages saved me! I loved it! It bonded with so many parents on this forum. We got early notification for all but 1 school. I’m not well, I think!

Hi!I just noticed I had two typos on my résume, “a” instead of "an"and repeated worlds like “created created an organization…”. Is that very bad or schools don’t really care?
honestly a bit of both. i know 1 person who goes there & one person who applied last year as a sophomore but ended up going to andover, but the 35% acceptance rate it says online is def lower in reality from what i’ve heard

i wrote in one of my essays “eachother” instead of each other and i physically recoil each time i reread it

Well me too, but theres so much applications and I really doubt that the AOs would favor one person over the other because of a few typos.

We signed up for Fedex and UPS and had package notices the night before from all 3 of the schools our kids applied to. So I can confirm that this is definitely a thing. This was in the March 2020 cycle.
However I can also confirm that if you sign up for this and do not get notices, it does not mean that you’ve not been accepted.
Use this info as you like. I will add that if you decide to do it, you need to add every possible combination of names a school might use (as in, given name as well as the ‘prefer to go by’ name if your kid specified one). It’s not just address based.

My interviewer tolde me I have been basically accepted, but I know that their academics are hard.
How? What did they exactly say? Because interviewers aren’t allowed to say anything especially since they haven’t checked any other part of your application before the interview.

Sometimes the interviewer says “ if you want to come here you can be here” or” ur profile fits our usual student here”. But it doesn’t mean anything . No guarantees till you see accepted on M10 on the portal. Decisions are usually made as a committee and the interviewer does not have an overriding say. Majority decision of the committee unless it’s unanimous is what decides.

You have to register for an account at Fedex and UPS. Then they each offer a free service for receiving tracking alerts. Fedex is called Fedex Delivery Manager. UPS is called My Choice. They don’t always make these services easy to find so you may have to search on each site once you’ve logged in.
Anyway once you sign up you can add names.
ETA: just to reiterate though that if you sign up and do not receive notices the night before, you still may get admitted. This happened to tons of people and caused a LOT of stress in those 24 hours.

She had seen my SSAT and candidate profile. She asked me if I could apply to1 0th instead of 9th, so she could grant me an international student merit scholarship and make the school more acessible for me. She also said that I was a great applicant, perfect for the school. A friend of mine interviewed with her and asked if there were any brazillian students. She said that there weren’t but there was a portuguese applicant with a very strong profile. She told her she knew me and at the end she said that I was basically accepted. The interviewer is who takes care of international recruitment.
Well, I still wouldn’t say basically accepted because thats just one person, the majority of the admissions committee needs to agree to accept you. If she convinces majority of them to say yes to acceptance than you can get accepted but if the rest of the admissions says no, you’ll get rejected.

I know, but she wouldn’t say that if I wasn’t. At least, I don’t think so. But she asked me to send my application earlier, so the school could grant me better FA and that she was excited to recommend me. I know it’s not an acceptance but it means that I will likely get in.
