i think they are talking about recruiting, playing time, and other perks of being a year ahead when playing sports (growth spurts and size).

I checked my Clarity status which was being displayed as “Submitted”. I thought maybe something was wrong with mine, because a lot of others had “Awaiting Review” (I guess). Apparently, I’m not the only one haha.
You have to go to the HTML source and you can see the status there. The status you’re seeing is just on the normal page.

While there is certainly some truth to this, schools are looking for kids, at all grades, that are good citizens and willing to contribute to the school communicate in many ways not just athletically and/or artistically.

not necessarily. it could mean an acceptance or a waitlist/deferral as well. don’t read into the statuses; they mean very little.
