@joiya550: I will be PMing you in a bit. Thanks for raising your hand.

@Karpov: I appreciate good humor :)

@Zapoo: I am taking my SAT scores, yes, but what about TOEFL? I haven’t given it, and will they accept my O Level English A grade as prove of English Proficiency? In other words, how should I prove my English Proficiency?

@nrmcpr: Master of the tier systems, I salute you!

And if anyone was wondering, there is no such thing as a “quota” for F1 visa students. In fact, husain87, our senior, says Congress passed a bill last yr to increase student visas to Pakistani students. In this way, US hopes to to build support for US troops in Pakistan.

oh its okay sniper, don’t worry! you had an interview, and did you apply for business etc? There is still a lot of hope, GIKI, NUST are still open!

Great News…I got into Carnegie Mellon Qatar! I so don’t wanna leave this option Carnegie Mellon…ahh! Too bad there is no Engineering…I feel so sad, but happy that I got in!

My decisions has not been made yet, b/w Carnegie and Texas…I am weighing plus’s and minus’s…so I ask you guys to help me make a list of them. I’ll be glad to hear anything that might come to your mind!

Well…In my case the scholarship people tested us with SLEP(Secondary Level English Proficiency) test…which is pretty much like TOEFL…except for its easier since it’s for secondary level… so I think they already had my scores because they were the ones giving me the scholarship…

In your case I am not really sure but I think the SAT would be enough to prove your proficiency… plus do take your O level transcripts…just in case… And I would highly recommend to contact USEFP before your interview… they will help you a lot (they actually conduct a mock visa interview!) and the best thing about them they don’t charge you anything :-P

yeah flibb Congats! Thats great news!
Khan we could beat them in the posts but have you seen the number of people who view their thread? beating that would be something but that will probably not happen …atleast not this year

Moments ago history was made when we overtook the singaporens for the first time since this thread came into being
today, on this fateful day karpov (Qaid-e-Azam), championed the course of action which fulfilled Khan’s (Iqbal) vision of a progressive Pakistani Thread
