The official Pakistani Thread for the class of 2013

Topped in 18 subjects…wow…n isn’t further maths the most difficult subject ever…so wow.

man, that seems to sum up everything that’s going on with our country right now. A glimmer of hope, and then they throw it all away.

Yea, i know all the ‘they’re humans and it happens’, but it seems to happen to us ALL the time. I mean losing all 10 wickets for less than 80 runs.

@free: You are a whiz kid in your own way :)

@Zapoo: Why buy from Stateside when Pakistani market is just as good? Find a few contacts, buy at company price, or bargain heavily. Tablet PCs, laptops or Desktops, it will surely work on allllllll

The m o s t difficult subjects of A Levels:

Further Maths

Chemisty

Economics

i bought dell lappy for 800$ and rarely use it cuz it runs slower than turtle lol

Dell laptops have lost their touch. The time is ripe for a lenovo - cheap, verstaile, and Chinese. Bet khan91 will be proud ;)

yea, you’re right about lenovo catching up. But i’m not sure about ‘cheap’. Quite a few people have advised me to buy laptops from Pakistan instead of Beijing. Not because they’re unreliable here, but that in Pakistan you can get them on the cheap. I checked it myself and it is true for HP. Not sure about lenovo in Pakistan.

alright, let’s rate laptop brands. theGame, you go first.

Well you can at sales in best buy or frys but I’m talking about a laptop fit for college which would be a minimum 600$ approx.

I disagree slightly :). Chemistry for me, is the easiest subject. Dunno about Eco but Further Maths deserves the top position.

Lenovo is no cheap, and quality etc wise, they bought IBM, so now what we get is basically IBM+Lenovo, which is a great deal.

As far as the prices are concerned, cheapest you find is Dubai, I guess…

Rating wise, I’m really into Macs these days. How about Toshiba, ASUS? Dell used to be awesome until a few years ago, don’t know about now

The BIG downside of Macs is the price tag. And the associated ‘unknown’ factor. I’ve heard it’s really nice and easy to use, but when you’re spending the extra quid… is it really worth it?

and about Dell, it’s plummeting. Fast. At least in the laptop ratings.

Here we go:

Lenovo (X and T series, IBM purchase)

Acer (ferrari series, good price, Gateway purchase)

HP (Pavillion series, great screens, Compaq purchase)

Your turn…

well I guess i’ll need to try Mac out for some time…see if its worth it.

Nope, that is a misconception. I’ve compared prices for the same spec Vaio and it was cheaper in the US.

Macs are stable and don’t cause problems so it’s worth it if your daily work depends on a laptop. Dell Desktops still have the lead and are well worth it, dunno about their notebooks tho. HP pavillion has alot of issue and i wouldn’t recommend that.

Right, thanks joiya, and what about VAIOs!

YEAH!!! i got the Oxford ReachScholarship… Thankyou all for your kind prayers… It is only because of you all… I got my OXFORD…Cant Express it!!

WOOOOOHOOOOOOO for MindHunter!.. seriously, man. AWESOME. Congrats.

AMAZING YAAR!!! Congrats…know anyone else who got in? Anyway Vaios are expensive but work good, my dad used one and it didn’t cause any problems. The only complaint he had was the weight issue. It was too heavy.

Guess you proved theGame wrong :D

oh, and i’m taking the 2700th post.

See!.. :)

Edit: Easiest race ever. :D
