congrats boi!.. whn did u get ur decision?

Karpov is probably celebrating, so let me keep the answers flowing…

@Flibb: ~100% FA, bud :)

@MindHunter: Today

@waleed1,
UT Austin decision agayi hai?? mine hasn’t come as yet ![]()
did the guy/girl who got in applied early, us citizen or what?

And anyone else applied to UT Austin??

^"We’ve received your application and are currently reviewing it. " This is whats written on the UT Austin application page… :S

Maybe your documents haven’t been received/have been lost in the mail. waleed1 could answer better though.

UT Austin gets so many applicants that i won’t be surprised if your decision comes out a week late. Same goes for all the 15,000+ students universities.

joiya550: The decision’s out for most of the national students, i think. She applied around the same time i did but she’s a us national. And im getting the same status as you so…sigh But i’ve heard us international applicants will find out in mid april, which is too late. Another guy from my class applied as well, so 3 applicants from our school. You applied to the Cockrell School of Engineering? What’re your stats?

talha_adnan: more than 35000 undergraduates. :P

Add smith to the List. More than 3 girls made it to Smith from LGS Defence.

I still havent heard from any of my colleges. Since most of them are liberal arts, the decisions will be out next week… I am so darn nervous!

Damn! Girls have such a huge advantage with this seven sisters thing! I wish there was something like that for us… Crap! :(

But then again, the idea of an all-men college isn’t exactly that appealing, you know what I mean, right?

UCLA decisions are out…

my cousin and brother both got in…

@shahwaiz69: Congratulations! Since you had a big role in it, I think you deserve a treat from your bro. Tell him to FedEx it lol :)

@whenwillitend: Will your friends go? I hope they do, coz Smith is one heck of a college! Our very own Sherry Rehman studied from there. Do pass our thread’s congratulations to everyone involved! :)

@talha_adnan: Scientifically speaking, the idea of a women-only college shouldn’t be appealing to our “significant others” too - or should it? :D

awesome joiya, psyched for you! Scholarships?

shahwiaz@how much aid did your brother get from UCLA.as far as i know financial aid is almost impossible to get from UCLA( for international students ).

@joiya550: Congratulations!! In which school did you get in?

For the record, UCLA is public and there is no such thing as ‘financial aid for international students’ there. Still, it boasts intense competition, particularly for the Maths and Maths-related disciplines on offer.

I didn’t apply for any aid or scholarship…thats the reason most internationals get into state schools. i applied in HSSEAS, the engineering school, got in for majors in Electrical Engineering.
i had 1940 SAT I and 2340 SAT II Chem and Phys 800, Maths2 740.
8 A’s in O level and 4 A’s in A1.

^ You’ve got solid stats and a sound decision
Just hope everyone else here also see this tough few days through.
