Well…the thing is I just got back from a major sound studio with a virtually unlimited amount of sound effects and invested in a Pro Tools rig and am anxious to test it out on some good footage. Whatever you want really… I obviously can’t be there to record the production sound but if you supply me with the dialog I’d love to cut some effects.

Sounds like a deal man. Next time I have something to have soundwork done, I’ll let you know.

In other news, just checked my mail–

Nada. Nothing. Zilch. Absolutely zero mail from USC.

i’m starting to think if you didn’t get a second update after the first one in march like 2 days after with the link…you are probably rejected.

There’s not enough info to call that. And Blotkey’s acceptance is inconsistent with the 3/17-3/19 change.

Just be patient.

yea, i guess you’re right.

Nothing for me either. Starting to get very anxious!

nothing. . .

Anybody get an update today?

nope, still 3/19. That was really cool about a week ago, but now it’s bad. It’s similar to milk.

Same for me. 3/19…starting to spoil.

Hoping that, if few SCA applicants recieved updates, it means that SCA is still running behind the university (as would be expected, with all the supp materials…)

Yep, still 3/19 here for me :/

I have a theory. Have we only had one production acceptance?

I’ll just throw it out. I recently learned that once the SCA “accepts” people that the apps are then sent to USC to approval. If the people who got into USC earlier are the ones now in production than that would mean that our apps are in the main USC office.

Of course I could be completely wrong. I’m just going craZ!

Yep. I was really excited last week (especially because I have the whole “2 day status” that seemed important) but I’m starting to lose the faith. It is good news that the person who called was told that the school is behind in general. Who knows, maybe there will be something in the mail tomorrow. The waiting is getting tiring though.

edit- Roar, where did you hear that? I’ve never heard that before haha. It is possible, especially seeing as how nearly everyone got an update on the 19th.

I’m going to extrapolate the theree of us having 3/19 as our last update to assume that our applications are jumbled together in offices of either SCA or USC admissions. I’m taking that as a good sign.

Haha. I hope its a good sign. Did anyone else read that thing someone posted about how they are making decisions TONIGHT (USC not just SCA specifically) because acceptances are supposed to be delivered by April 1st?

I’m in contact with a senior SCA professor. Apparently the guidelines are “quite strict” for the USC approval. This person doesn’t deal with undergrad this year so I don’t have a date for ya’ll.

KOHR, how did you make the guy’s shirt getting ripped off in your awesome laundry film?

yeah, I couldn’t tell if that was a “we’re finalizing decisions TONIGHT” or “we’ll will still be working on decisions TONIGHT” (as in… “we are continuing to work into the nights because we have a lot of catching up to do”)

I guess we will see.

Yeah I was confused on that, too. I had lost all hope early this week, but now the fire is back. Meaning that if I don’t know anything in about five days I’m expelling it all over my mailbox and burning it down.
