You know I just realized that I have never dated anyone who was a student while I’ve been a student…
And I guess the only somewhat “educated” guy I dated was my ex who was playing college football (o-line lol) and he was quite dumb.

Ideal candidate for EmpathyInAnarchy:

Ambitious beyond belief

Smart

Can work with what she’s got

Doesn’t refer to herself in 3rd person

That’s it really. I’m so easy to please, yet I haven’t felt “it” for a long time.

well you’ll definitely meet a different crowd at berkeley

don’t mind either of those. That said I’ve got a fair number of close female friends. Most of them have somehow been convinced that I’m more or less the smartest guy they know and I’ve had them say **** to the extent “I wouldn’t want to be you because everyone would be boring” and “you’ll never find anyone smart enough”

this kind of hurts when you have a crush on the chicks saying this and you realize to yourself, “WOW, they aren’t qualified to be anything more than friends.”

that said, most of the guys in my family have ended up going for old chicks. My grandfather’s both married women over 10 years their senior, and my step mother is(I don’t know her age even though she’s been with my dad over 15 years) something like 8 years older than my father. Heck most of the chicks I’ve dated were a little older than me… am finding myself more attracted to younger chicks now though, that said there’s this really hot Czech chick in one of my classes who is 24 and I wouldn’t mind… humm maybe I should actually respond to her texts ehh… that’s another story.

Yessss!!! It is starting to rain which means my 9:35 tennis class will be cancelled!

I have rain here too, in my undisclosed locale.

@xelink

Hit that

Hey guys what did I miss? are we still talking religion? I have beliefs on that
:)

I have a hard time ignoring the fact that ALL cultures around the world have been known to worship SOMETHING. From the smallest cultures to the biggest, they all do. So I’ve come to the place where I believe that pretty much any religion will lead to “God.” Yes, I’m agnostic :). It seems ridiculous to me to believe that any single religion will grant us “salvation.” We have to chose the right one. In fact, I don’t really believe in the christian concept of salvation. Omg! I still remember my pastor telling me why I should believe the Bible, it was so funny! I asked him, and then he took me to several different verses that claim that the Bible was the inerrant word of god. I was like, but don’t you have any outside proof? I’m pretty sure that the Koran, and any other religious document throughout history claims that it knows the only and best way to “heaven” (or equivalent). He said not really, but that that was why it was called “faith.” I remember thinking ***!? So if I had been born into a muslim home, they would have told me the exact same thing, but YOU, my PASTOR, tell me emphatically that muslims are going to hell, am I right?

Man. One of many conversations with my pastor that led me straight AWAY from Christianity. Quite the opposite of his intentions, and he’s quite disappointed in me at the moment, but I’ll survive :)

haha I should. I just have trouble because she’s so dumb I could never really perceive myself being with her and her accent leaves her at the point where i don’t really like listening to her so friendship might be a bit hard. I’m not one to hit it and quit it either, loyalty is a big thing with me. But DAMN she is attractive. I ama flawed person.

Dude, just wait till you transfer xelink! don’t do the older chick thing haha–o to UC where I’m sure you’ll find some chick with higher SAT’s, GPA, everything than you! Trust me, such a girl exists hahah (there’s always someone smarter)

Yep, i have to confess that is one of the thing i look forward to the most when i transfer: intelligent women

yeah. by my guesstimates, roughly 3,000,000 girls in the US are intelligent enough for me. Don’t know how many of those are in my area, roughly my age, have compatible personalities, and I’d be physically attracted to, but I’m sure a lot more of them are at UCI than at some lame CC. I’m assuming that cutting away from the dumbest 90% of the population and somewhat away from the brightest 2% would have an aggregate result of increasing the overall pool of qualified chicks, even if I’m only really interested in that top 2%

and yes, I am somewhat excited. INTELLIGENT WOMEN WOW… it feels almost like I’m saying an oxy moron though… I’m used to dealing with so many idiots. DUmb guys ehh, they’re just guys, they can go bash their heads against a wall a bit… dumb women… WHY?

for the record, the average college student has an IQ of around 115, that’s roughly one deviation off. I’m going to assume that the UCs are a bit more skewed than this though so I’d estimate that the average IQ would be around 115-120ish. That’d place roughly 1/3 chicks in the range I’m looking for. I like those odds.

“it feels almost like I’m saying an oxy moron though”
-d-bag quote of the year.

god…you are a cocky a$$ xelink.

watch out, now he’s going to accuse you of being a UCLA/UCB lover. You’ve been warned!

this thread is beyond hilarious. hahaha
my ideal girl would be:
1)Smart
2)Extremely ambitious
3)pretty
4)confident
5)well-rounded
where do i find one of these?

ps. @xelink iq isnt really a good indicator of intelligence.

^ UC Merced.

lol merced = bessie the cow

^^lmao evan. funny though, i think i found her at occ of all places

I’m sorry… I understand that the Merced area was the biggest area in California without a major university… but COME ON… who wants to live there? Not I! I suppose if you’re into outdoorsy stuff, you’d have fun? I’m much much much more of a city kid, myself.

seriously. merced. hahah. oh my god. i just know it as the place i pass when going to yosemite. thats it.
