<p>BAM! lol somehow I know when I am called. This thread is for anything guys, so feel free to post whatever you want. Thus, there’s no thread-jacking possible. If you guys want to talk about Anthropology, girls at Irvine, or SB vs SD, feel free! Now for my 2 cents on SD.</p>
<p>I think UCSD is nice, but I found it to be very boring - consistent. UCSD has Geisel Library which (to me) looks like an architectural anomaly, lots of open space, hills, decent food, and tons of asians. Personally, I found the campus too quiet and ordinary for my liking. I want to be stimulated - I want my interest to be piqued - I want to get excited about a school! UCSD didn’t do that for me as much as I had hoped. However, my friend did show me a good time while I was there :/.</p>

<p>Well to answer your first question, my friend that goes to UCSD is my best friend haha, so no, it wasn’t anything like that. I did get to go to one of his fraternity exchanges though, and I had a blast. Until the next day when I got alcohol poisoning…for those that don’t know, alcohol poisoning is not the same as having a hangover or just being sick from alcohol. 24 hours of straight-up throwing up…but never mind that lol. I know my limits now 100%.</p>
<p>My friend and I joke that I’ll be rejected from UCSD and they’re going to send letters to every other UC to reject me after an RA found my friend and I stumbling drunkily over to Warren hahaha. Oh boy…what I night that was.</p>
<p>Anyway, girls at Berkeley. I know a few, and one of them is absolutely beautiful. Aside from her, though, when I visited Berkeley both times, I saw plenty of pretty girls, but also many that I knew I wouldn’t be interested in. I would say that UCB has better looking girls than UCSD, but that’s just my opinion. I would say that Berkeley has more diversity as well. UCSD is heavily asian…and so is Berkeley, but I really feel like there were less at UCB. It seemed that you could find literally any and every type of chick at Berkeley.</p>

<p>So last night I hit a new low. I dreamed a weird dream about colleges. In the dream there were people with cardboard boxes on their heads in a room. On each of the box-heads there was a different college written across the box. One of the college box head people was murdered. Then the rest of the dream they were trying to figure out who did it.
Please interpret my dream. Because I think I might be bordering on obsessed.</p>

<p>@ solidblu: hahaha nah normally fraternities are pretty strict about having outsiders join in, and this was also the case for me. Initially, the members were very against me coming (nothing against me personally - just frat rules), but my friend put in as many good words as he could for me, and fortunately I was able to come along. I think that if you vie strongly enough for a friend, that you’ll be allowed to bring him/her…Much higher likelihood if it’s a girl haha.</p>
<p>I don’t think the RA got my name, but even if he did, I can’t see that being a reason to reject me lmao. Plus, I wasn’t breathalized, so nothing could be proven lol. </p>
<p>@ Pscholler: As a long-time Freudian enthusiast, I will do my best to interpret your dream. I’m doing this more as a joke, rather then seriously lol just letting ya know.</p>
<p>Obviously you’re concerned about where you’ll be going to college and you think a lot about what the people that go to those colleges are like. The murdered college person could represent a rejection, but I actually doubt that. I think that the act, itself, resembles the pressure built around the college admissions experience in general. The blaming could represent an act of comparison. We compare ourselves to others. We like to be a part of a group - not outside the group. The banter over who murdered the person is probably reminiscent of seeing oneself as an entity instead of a piece in a group. That being said, it goes to show how people, esp in college admissions, are out for themselves.</p>
<p>haha hope that provided a little clarity! As a Psych major, having taken only 8 psych classes, I know I’m not an authority on anything, and like I said I was just putting in my 2cents :).</p>
