If you think that’s creepy . . . I’ve been lurking on-and-off on CC for like two years and I only just started posting, hahaha. But that’s mostly cause I was too lazy to make an account.

And on that note, I’ll introduce myself. Hi everyone on this thread, I’m Nadia.

Edit: And Jane, I actually think transfer students should stay and post even after we transfer, at least to give advice to younger students

haha, like nadia i’m also creepy >_>
been on this site since my junior year of high school (didn’t even know about this forum back then though lol), made this account my senior year…and now i come on many many times a day and yet i only have a bit over 200 posts…i do contribute a huge # of views for threads though haha

oh really…it really scares me to know that my cousin’s got rejected by all schools she applied to as a freshman… was wondering if transfer students’ situations would be as bad…

@Connie Those are tough schools to get into. A 3.9 is a really good gpa but probably not for competitive schools like those, and her SATs, extracurriculars and essays might not have been outstanding either. Nowadays just “good” isn’t enough for a lot of colleges. I’m sure it is at least partially because of the economy.

Wow, I was looking through the old threads, and there were WAY more engineering/science majors in previous years (06-07). I wonder what happened.

EmpathyInAnarchy- outsourcing, we get all our Engineering and Science majors from other countries. the United States needs to get back in the game. be our champ will ya?

that makes me nervous, i am a transfer students and before hearing about my cousin i was pretty confident that i will get into the school i want to…and till now i still havent heard from any of them… it gives me headacheeeee, even worse is that i am having my spring break now, so idle that I have all day thinking about this…

@connie Yeah I know it’s tough. I’m still waiting on UCSD, UCD and CSULB. But I did get into UCSC and UCR so I’m not as stressed out anymore. If you applied to a safety or two I wouldn’t worry about it.
