well I have 4.0 at CC but I dunno whats my final gpa that the admission officers will consider, as I have foreign academic records…maybe it will turn out to be around 3.8, +/-0.05</p>

<p>@Connie Cause they release decisions in batches. Plenty of people, including me, haven’t heard a thing from SD and Davis yet. There’s still time, they release decisions till May 1st.</p>

<p>I applied as an engineering major… though I may not want to be part of your guys party .</p>
<p>Kinda wishing I applied as econ, I’m interested in both and I have will have 100% of the pre-reqs completed for Econ with A’s in all of them so I feel like I would have a had a decent shot at UCLA or CAL (3.84 GPA right now) where with engineering I’m missing a lot of classes and my only real shot is at UCSD since I have tag. Oh well too late now, and if I have to wait another year to apply as an Econ major at least I won’t have to take any more classes at CC.</p>
<p>I also wish I had put econ as my back-up major instead of an alternate engineering major, my friend didn’t get into UCSB for mech e. but they admitted him to his alternate (math/econ) and if I would have done that instead of putting 2 engineering majors I would probably have gotten in as well

<p>You were denied from UCSB with that GPA? How many prereqs were you missing?</p>
<p>And honestly, you shouldn’t want to be an economist when you have the potential to be an engineer. The job is lame by comparison, in that the utility of an economist is debatable to a degree, primarily because the science is forever qualitative IMO.</p>
