@ocnative haha hopefully. The student store opens at 10 on Saturday >:) I’ll be the one buying up all the mediums haha

@ocnative

So, I see you’ve adopted my idea to use the official seal of the school you SIR’d to. Excellent. :D

Way to steal Cayton’s avatar OC

Wow, everyone’s avatar looks the same now!

How did the bridges weekend go for anyone that went?

@CalBruin
Who said i didn’t already buy all the mediums during Transfer Weekend?
There wasn’t any medium for certain styles when I was there though… Better hope they restocked

@CalBruin @Loyshi

I really hope they overstock in mediums then, lol.

Oh no! Haha Hopefully I’ll find some cal shirts for myself in medium and I’m thinking of getting my mom the Berkeley mom shirt to kick off Mother’s Day

So any words on Regents yet guys?

@CSB111 It was definitely a helpful experience. Many people I spoke to said it helped them make up their mind either way. Personally I was hesitant on Berkeley (especially the neighborhood around) but upon going there I practically felt in love. You FEEL smarter just being on that campus…and everyone I ran into was helpful or at least willing to help. Yes, the homeless/street vendors might be a bit of a culture shock but from what I exoerienced, they respect the fact that you’re a student and don’t bother you. Besides, I’m from LA so this whole homeless thing was nothing new to me nor should it be to anyone living in most urban areas.

They gave us tours of the campus, the town around, and we even went to SF which was a nice surprise. The group that went was VERY diverse and I really liked that. Anyway sorry for the long post, if you have any other questions about it just ask!

@Loyshi Now that we ve gone to TW im curious to know who you are! Haha

@ocnative GL with the mediums haha…its definitely a struggle. Seems most UCB males fit right into that size.

@SoCalLife310
Let’s play the guessing game. I’m a stem major. Guy. Norcal. I think that’s enough to narrow it to just me.

@Loyshi Aloysius?

I’m glad to hear transfer weekend was nice @SoCalLife310!
Did they give you guys any particular insight into financial aid, study abroad, or how to declare your major once you actually get to Cal?

@SoCalLife310
That’s lame… that was way too quick.

@AnthroFlo
i asked the organizer, turns out about 10-20% of the people who got in didn’t go. Maybe you could of had a chance. lol
i don’t think I heard much about those topics because maybe i chose different workshop specifically to housing, but i think those can be answered during the Reception on the 10th or Calso. IMO the transfer weekend gave us an insight on Berkeley that couldn’t be given elsewhere… (cough Roch *cough) and that they didn’t repeat information that would have been attainable with a little research by ourselves.

That’s a bummer to hear @Loyshi
But they didn’t take me off the waitlist so there wasn’t really anything I could have done.
What did you learn about housing?

Lol I agree with Loyshi…we sure did get an interesting perspective of Berkeley. @AnthroFlo We basically learned what kinda housing fits your style. Reading about it doesn’t do it justice. Like for example, before the weekend I was deadset on applying to live in a co-op but after this weekend I will absolutely never do such a thing haha.

@SoCalLife310

Interesting…why not a co-op anymore?

@ocnative Lets just say that if you plan on actually graduating with a decent GPA/any sanity, a co-op might not be the best idea haha. Basically they (along with frat houses) are the party hotspots. So the co-ops get used and abused on a weekend-ly basis and the residents get very little sleep on the weekends. Super fun place to hang out though!
