Kinda mad about this whole everyone getting waitlisted thing. I still wanna go to Wash U but this is really buggin me especially with a lot of qualified people getting waitlisted.

yea , did they seriously not reject anybody or did those CCers rejected not post a reply? i cant help but think its odd that there are no rejections… maybe they didnt mail them out yet?

I couldn’t help noticing the amount of 1500s and 1590s in the WAITLISTED pile. It almost seems like, in general (don’t bite my head off please), some waitlisters have better numbers than acceptees. Although I guess that’s the case anywhere. Seriously though, it would’ve been no ink off their printers to just tell us flat-out that we were rejected. If they wanted to reject us, they would have. But they wanted to waitlist us, and there was a reason they did it.

As for me…

Still waiting from Princeton and Dartmouth. I can kind of see their point of showing love to those that showed them the same. Dartmouth’s my number one (deferred early) and I sent grade updates, a deferral letter, the whole enchilada. I interviewed for Princeton, and the alumnus told me that most people in my area who were offered an interview didn’t reply. So I supposed I put more effort into those two, but sheesh, can you blame us?

I think the reason why i got in, even though i seem underqualified compared to a lot of the waitlisted kids, is that i courted the hell out of this school. i made them know it was my number 1 very early, applied ED (deferred), i drove 2000+ miles to visit (from CT) and i sent them numerous letters. I worked my butt off to show them how much i loved the school and it seems to have paid off. Kids who are all overqualified and used wash u as a saftery probably didn’t show them enough interest (maybe?).
