Did anyone watch The Paradise on PBS last night? I found it to be the plot of Mr. Selfridge, with the cast of Larkrise to Candleford.

I know it’s based on the 1883

I didn’t see it but I did DVR it. It looked interesting.

We just read that book for our book club. I really liked it but many of our members couldn’t get through it because it was so full of descriptions of clothing and settings. I didn’t know about the show. Thank you! I will bring it up at the next meeting. We did take an outing to the Chicago Art Museum which was having a special show that tied in with Zola’s book.

I saw 10 minutes. Well lit. In HD, you can really see the details on the clothing. That was the best I can say about what I saw.

DVR’d it. Will get around to it eventually.

I preferred it to Mr Selfridge (though I will watch that as well when it returns).

I fell asleep. (But I do like all three of the actors who were on Lark Rise to Candleford.)
