Ahh. Maybe the oil tank companies have a recommendarion? Or as I said (when I misread, lol) is lookmon jeighbor Nextdoor for recommendations.
That mylife site is a scam. It has a family member listed as having a criminal record. The person doesn’t.
@veryhappy In my neck of the woods, there are plenty of companies that install and service HVAC that don’t deliver fuel. We just had ours replaced this summer and got quotes from 5 companies. Look up HVAC Service & installation. If you have a neighborhood/town group on facebook or elsewhere, they can be a good place to ask for references.
It’s worthwhile getting multiple quotes. The solutions and costs presented to us varied quite a bit. For us, we were replacing a 20 year old system. It was costly (we did not go with the cheapest option) but will save us money each year through more energy efficiency.
It’s also worth checking with your state or electric company to see if they offer energy saving rebates on certain systems.
Arggh. Keypad autocorrect. The site, @VeryHappy is neighbor next door. Have gotten lots of helpful info there from neighbors.
My question: when I hit the comma key on my cell, why do I often get a period instead? So, “It was a warm, sunny day” comes out, “It was a warm. Sunny day.”
I can’t trace this to fat fingering mistakes.
You might be accidentally hitting a space key as it will put in a period if you type 2 spaces.
Do adults commonly get the Td vac after 10 years after the TDap? All the pharmacies in town don’t carry the Td booster, just the TDap. I would have to go to the health department for it.
We’ve always just gone with TDap. Pertussis is still around in our area. My mom caught it a couple years back and it was awful. I don’t know if we actually need boosters for that one or not TBH, but I doubt it does any harm.
Last time I got it was TDap. Whooping Cough is making a comeback.

So, you did a repeat TDap?
I was just at the doctor this morning and got the DTaP. He said the tetanus part of it has to be given every ten years but the pertussis part of it is just once in adulthood. Now I can go meet my soon-to-be-born grandbaby!
I recently started with a new doctor and she gave me the full TDap since it had been more than 10 years since my last tetanus. Have to say, the reaction from that one really hurt. I was swollen for almost 2 weeks.
We keep tetanus up every 8-10 years since we live on a farm and H often works out in the field for his job and general stuff around the farm. Every time we’ve gotten it it’s been TDaP, except once when only TD was available (for H). That’s the year my mom got diagnosed Whooping Cough. H also had something very, very similar, but he had it first and we just figured it was a long, lingering lung infection of some sort. He never saw a dr even though he had to sleep in his chair, etc. I’ve always wondered since, but will obviously never know.
I was around both, but never caught a thing out of it. I also had the regular TDaP with my update. I rarely catch anything, so it’s not necessarily due to the vax. I likely have a strong immune system.
" Have to say, the reaction from that one really hurt. I was swollen for almost 2 weeks."
My NP warned me about that when I got mine this year but I had zero reaction.
I just have slight muscle pain in the arm sometimes when moving it - nothing at all when still or with some motions. It’s pretty much gone now and we got the shot on Monday afternoon.
@bgbg4us You can pay a company to scour the web and wipe your records. Costs maybe $100 for a year. Nothing is permanent but you can sort of wipe the slate clean to minimize the proliferation.
I did it, just paid for one year and felt it did a good job and lasted beyond the one year I paid for. Abine and DeleteMe are two names that come to mind.
TDap is the standard now, has been for quite a while.
This isn’t really a question, but – whatever.
So I checked my spam folder, as I do every few days, and I had six – six!! – emails all from the same fake name and email address. “Ben Watson” sent me six emails, with the following subject lines:
Can You Start Next Week?
Re: Your Funding Request
Re: Your IRS Refund
Unpaid Wages ($732) Discovered
Your Score Has Changed
Re: Your Amazon Order
How in the world does Ben Watson have time to track all this information about me?!! He must be a really busy guy!!
Wow, you hit some jackpot. A job, a refund, found money! All Ben wanted to tell me if my credit score changed. I did get an email from DH’s aunt, who passed 5 years ago.
Wish Facebook would stop telling us to wish a happy birthday to folks who have died. It makes me sad—I miss them.
Well pretty weird that I also just looked at my spam folder and I also guess Ben Watson is keeping an eye on things for me.
