There’s an app for College Confidential?
^^ There was in the past. No longer.
Yep. They stopped supporting the app a long time ago but it still works.
But I think you can’t load it new, right? Some of you already had it?
^ Right.
CC question.
When looking at a forum page on your mobile app - are the same threads ordered on the page for every user?
Does clearing the number of unread posts to zero by scrolling to the end move them lower in the queue?
Or is it the number of views or active responses that reorders the view ?>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Be darned if I know. I HATE the way this forum is formatted or set up or whatever the term is. I wish with all my heart a “mark read” button for each subject without having to open it, go to the end, exit and reload.
It could be ineptitude. I have asked before if there is a tutorial on how to use this format but never got an answer.
Oh and how I wish there was a quote button.
If it’s a thread I’ve opened before and there are new responses, the title of the thread is bold and tells me how many new responses there are since I last opened it.
If it’s a thread I’ve opened already and there are no new responses, the thread title is not bold.
If it’s a thread I’ve never opened, the thread title is bold and doesn’t announce how many new responses there are.
And it’s in time order. Most recent first. True of Latest Posts and My Bookmarks. If you just scroll, nothing changes. The unread are still unread.
I work off the bookmarks, look for new posts in those threads. Occasionally, I move over to Latest, to see what brand new has come up or what older threads might now interest me.
What can confuse on the subforums is when particular threads are pinned at the top. They may not be updated with new comments but sit there, at the top. The rest should be in time order.
Also tend to look at latest posts to see what’s new. And yes on the only able to use the app if you downloaded it before, I think, Hobson’s bought cc.
Random question: Why, when going to the gym to work out, do people try to find the closest possible parking space?
@jym626 I can’t answer that one as at my gym people are thrilled to find a parking spot and take the first one they see.
I want to know why when I park as far away as I can in a parking lot–with no others cars around–some large SUV
decides to park right next to me although there are dozens of other spaces.
I think there’s a Murphy’s Law for that.
Big SUVs need friends too. Who wants to be parked out in a big lot with no-one to vehicle-watch with?
LOL
Sounds like the SUV is on a power trip. My car is small.
Also, guess the SUV wants to hug as they are always so so close.
Update, tried paw pads for our dog. They lasted less than an hour and she removed them easily. Anyone ever try soft paw nail caps?
Speaking from H’s perspective, he always parks far away to protect his car and for increased exercise. Mainly the first one. Yes we frequently find another car next to it when returning to it. I can only guess they have the same mind set?
If they have the same mindset, I would assume that they wouldn’t park right next to you.
