That’s what we always have used in shower (except for one endless bottle of shower soap I found in kids bathroom). Per recommendation on church Earth Care recommendation lists, I try to use bar soap at our sinks - have lots of little hotel bars to use up. But we still have jug of soft soap around, so using that too.
My husband uses bar soap in the shower. I’ve read that bar soap leaves a film.
He also is terrible and loves bringing home hotel bars. Ive told him if it’s Aveda bring it but otherwise most of it is terrible. I’m slowly using the small bars up when we go camping.
I use the bar soap from Costco. It works for me! but I also use two huge bottles of Suave shampoo (one marked “daily use” but I wash my short curly uncolored hair maybe once every five days), lasting about a year!
My husband only likes Safeguard in the shower, so that’s what I usually. It can be hard to find, especially in the white color I favor (for housekeeping reasons, blends in better with the white tiles). Last month I was delighted to find it…. believe it or not at the dollar store.
I always use bar soap. I like Dove because it doesn’t dry my skin out. I also will splurge on the occasional fun soap from Lush. Santa brought me some of their bright blue Outback. It smells great.
Second vote for Dove bar soap. I’ve used it for decades. Only place I have liquid soap is in the powder room.
I purchased bar shampoo for my daughter for her trip to Israel because she had luggage limits and it seemed more practical than the bottles. She wasn’t a big fan and ultimately bought liquid shampoo when she was there.
I’ve almost always been a Caress girl. Sometimes would use Dove when it was on sale or I had a coupon. I have dry skin. H uses Safeguard or Irish Spring.
We have liquid soaps at the sinks in the kitchen, laundry room and guest bath. Nicer hand soap at my sink. I buy soaps sometimes while traveling and my kids sometimes gift me pretty soaps with dried flowers and such.
I use a nice shower body wash in shower and have a bath gel for the tub. My husband buys bar soap by price at Costco. Usually Costco brand or Dove. The worse was the time he bought Irish Spring. Smelled terrible and a Costco size took a long time to go through.
We use bar soap and liquid shampoo, so far. We haven’t had any problems using whatever shampoo the hotels offer so don’t bother to pack any. We like unscented best. H says Dove and Kirkland melt too fast so we are trying some other bars I got at Walgreen’s. (Neurogena also dissolves almost instantly, as does Aveeno & Ivory.)
It’s liquids all round for me with pumps or auto sense dispensers. As a (mostly) functionally one handed person, I find it the easiest way to keep clean and groomed.
Anybody familiar with Lively cellphone / Premium service. Parents need to replace one of their old (3G) Lively cellphones. They have basic now, but my sister noticed some remote help perks with Premium.
Don’t know about the cell phone but my dad had the Lively alert system. Worked really well.
I see some reviews were about customer service and activation. We tried three times to get it re-activated once and finally got a knowledgable rep who set us up immediately. Said the directions sound like you can immediately go from step to step but that you actually had to wait like 2 min between steps for things to go through. Took us through the process and checked the system afterwards. After that hiccup it was great.
If you get one be sure to keep the password/acct handy so they’ll talk to you.
Am also a bar soap user. I love getting many different varieties of goats milk soaps at craft shows. Lots of different ingredients and aromas. Love it! In a pinch, I can get fun soaps at Whole Foods and I think also TJs.
we are looking at a snow storm in our area, and are thinking about getting our college son out 12 hours earlier . Tomorrow
both segments of his flight are still for sale and not unreasonably high. Would that point to most likely having room for standby?
It sounds like United only lets you know 30 minutes before you leave, so he’d need to be at the airport ready to go ahead of time . . . should i call the airlines and see how many seats are open before taking this chance?? all new to us!!
