I assume you already tried the tennis ball one?

Olive oil or something similar - should lift it right up. Then make sure to remove the oil residue.

Nope! Tell me more.

You can try to buff them off with a clean tennis ball or make this contraption:

May not be the best way, but I use Method all purpose cleaner.

That is so cool!!

Coolest trick ever!

My scuff marks must be heavy duty - tennis ball didn’t work ! It was not brand new but not used for tennis.

Bummer. :frowning: Are they recent scuff marks or have they been on the floor for a while?

Probably some of both. I only tried the tennis ball because I happened to have one handy that I’ve used for PT, lol! I’ll give the scuffs some other attempts this week!

They aren’t terrible but I see them!

Does anyone know how to access a direct message on Facebook that seems to have disappeared into the ether? I sent a message last night to someone with whom I have a cordial but not close relationship, so I’m a little reluctant to text her. She replied, but I can’t read it (or even see my own message) because there’s a new procedure that secures messages and requires some sort of key. In addition, Fb says that if you clear cookies and your cache then your “secure” messages will be deleted. Of course, I read that after I cleared them, which is something I do routinely.

If I can’t recover the missing messages, can someone please explain how to change the security settings on messages? I’m not going to stop clearing cookies, so my alternative may be posting on Fb to alert those I message with that I can no longer use that function and will have to rely on texts.

You could use the magic eraser but risk removing the finish on the wood floors as well.

I don’t know if this helps but here are a couple things:

To turn off two-factor authentication on Facebook Messenger, log into your Facebook account, go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Password and security, then toggle off “Use two-factor authentication” under the section for two-factor authentication; you might need to select your preferred account if you manage multiple accounts through the same login.

Thank you! I’ll try it.
Your reply was covered by not just one but two pop-up ads here as I tried to read it. When I block pop-ups then I have access problems elsewhere.
I hope the Facebook fix works since I have better luck reaching S and DiL that way vs. texts.

No luck. I can only change the type of two factor authentication for messages but cannot turn it off. I’ll check back next month to see if this glitch has been fixed.

I have had weird stuff with FB messenger, not being able to see msg I just sent (but I think it does get seen by recipient)

I don’t know why I’m having such a hard time finding this item, but I am….

I’m looking for the white “balls” with lights that you use outside for Christmas decor and hang them often from tree branches - like somewhat bigger balls - at least 12 inch??? I’ve looked on Amazon, looked at Target, gonna look at Home Depot/Lowe’s….but thought I’d ask the beehive here - any idea (what I’m talking about…) and where to buy them??

I thought people made them around here? H calls them the bee’s nests (because I have a huge phobia of bees)

Like these?

I’ve never seen quite like those!!
