I learned to like Earl Grey in college (any brand). Still a favorite.

I also like @anxiousmom’s recipe for hot ginger tea on the recipes for fresh ginger thread.

My daughter and I got hooked on London Fog this fall…

I’m not a green tea fan, but do enjoy hochija, which is a roasted green tea…love the nutty flavor and only a hint of green lol…

OMG. @islandmama1! I made the London Fog with decaf Earl Grey and lavender syrup. It’s outstanding. I’d share a pic, but it’s almost gone. Thanks for sharing. I’m going to try a few of the others from that site.

I don’t care for black tea. I prefer an herbal tea like a ginger peach or honey lavender.

I also love matcha. Will drink it hot but love it iced.

D swears by Throat Coat tea. She read its favored by Opera Singers, to help preserve their lovely voices. i like it, especially with a splash of honey. Ginger honey tea is also very nice. I’m no good with caffeine as it keeps me awake and I enjoy a sound night’s sleep.

Ahmad Tea makes semi-decent decaf English breakfast tea they call “Evening Tea.” That is my tea of choice after 12 pm. We drink a lot of Ahmad and Greenfield teas because that’s what I can find at the Euro deli. I have not been to a grocery store middle isles in ages, so that’s why I get my tea at the deli.

Jumping off-tea topic to say thanks for the recommendations on finding a chrome
metal soap dispenser. Adding ‘polished’ to my searches did the trick!

I’d been obsessing over this issue for months  (had purchased and returned at least four different items).

I think it turned out okay - tx again!

Now I have a really dumb, stupid question. My husband and I often lament that out west, when fires are right by the ocean, that they can’t access ocean water to use. From Californians and engineers or generally smart people, please comment.

I think it’s because salt water contaminates the soil, and presumably the ground water.

I googled this myself because I had the same thought: Can Ocean Water Be Used to Fight Fires? - Ocean Explorium

Thank you. Interesting the article didn’t address the possibility of storage tanks with desalinated water. Which again, I’ve always wondered why CA doesn’t do that since water is always such an issue. Then, I got some great info in this article. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

A big issue with desalinization is the waste product.

When the Israelis had that big natural gas find in the Mediterranean, one of the plans was to sell the gas to Jordan to fuel desalinization plants. Water would be used for irrigation to improve agriculture in Jordan. Sounds like a win-win.

They were going to dump the by-product in the Dead Sea because, hey, it’s dead already so what can it hurt? Too concerned about the impact.

Virtually all of Israel’s drinking water is desalinized from the Mediterranean.

I use Bitwarden. I was using Lastpass until they had a breach a couple of years ago. Bitwarden is free but has some premium features for $10/year. I’ve been happy with it.
