We actually don’t register with a party affiliation in my state. I suspect I know which party is urging him to vote, but I don’t know that they have some kind of central office to contact. But I guess that’s a place to start looking.
If you happen to be aligned with that party that it makes sense to make the effort to reach out to them. If you’re not, don’t waste your time ![]()
Rule #2: Never use Facebook (or any other social media).
Yes, time these people aren’t like a sibling (yup, some of us have those who cancel on us when something more attractive comes their way), I’d be sure whatever is planned fits easily in my plans if I’m going to get together at all after 1st cancelation or two and not rearrange my schedule or travel out of my way.
Re the postcards to your son that has moved, i would guess they think he might be an inactive voter in your state and they don’t realize he’s moved. Not sure how long inactive voters stay on the rolls or how they are removed. I’m sure it varies by state. Your best bet is probably to contact your state board of elections and tell them he’s moved. Then he won’t get on any more lists.
If you are a researcher or academic in the physical sciences, but you ignore or subvert the scientific method by falsifying data, arranging for peer reviews by like-minded friends, pressuring journals to spike submissions that question your research, etc., can you still call yourself a “scientist”?
Do you do any of these things to clean your cellphone?
I have been amazed at the amount of lint in my charging port. (My fault - always carry it in my pockets). I have used toothpicks as article suggests to clean it. Also bent paperclips, probably riskier.
I notice that my audio input (holes at bottom of iphone 12 mini) are blocked with stubborn lint. Not good on a phone that already has mediocre voice quality. Suggestions?
While on a trip to Glacier National park, my phone stopped charging. Worst time/place!! Turned out that there was a piece of paper stuck in the charging port. We did borrow a paper clip and attempt to take it out. One small piece did come out and we somehow ended up pushing the other piece further in and into one side. The phone would charge, but you had to hold the cord in at a specific angle. Stressful! Of course, you could always use wireless charging - once I remembered that, I was much calmer!
After getting back home, I took the phone to the apple store (made an appointment). The associate there had a specific tool and it took her only a couple of minutes to get the paper out. She said mine was one of the easiest she’s done, that you wouldn’t believe the kind of stuff she’s had to pull out of the charging ports ![]()
So, maybe visit the apple store near you?
Maybe spray the holes with one of those duster cans of air.
