sportsmama, embarrassed to say, but i fell asleep during show. i did not knoe any of these yong brides would know who the actreses were.

I thought that bride looked very orange. I wonder what she thought when she saw herself on tv.

I was laughing out loud about the messages received from princess Diana. I wonder if I could channel some lottery numbers.

Lol. bookworm. I think we’ve all been there!

This girl wanted Grace Kelly–but with a twist. Kind of edgy. (What?!) She tried on a black dress first. Her mom was not happy. She finally picked a white dress that was a classic style. I was happy for her mom. :)

That black dress was not flattering and def just not right for a young girl at her wedding.

The Diana lover - that was creepily weird!!!

Thank goodness for this thread! For some reason my DVR only recorded one episode last night, the one about last minute dress buyers. Were it not for this discussion, I’d never have known that I missed the whole Princess Diana bit. Going to search for it now…

I am new to this show. Fun mindless Friday night. S1 will probably wed this year and I am determined to be a really supportive MIL while dress shopping. I do not think the strapless fad is flattering to most brides, esp. the chubby/chesty ones. Hopefully straps and sleeves come back before D gets married :)

I am still just flabberghasted what people will spend on a dress…more than my first house! It seems so wasteful. I thought some of the $2-3,000 dresses were just as pretty as the $20,000 ones. Some of those brides bought 2-3 dresses. I had never heard of that.

I love this show. I’ve never watched it on TV (almost never watch TV) but I watch old episodes for free on Amazon Prime. I actually just paid $1.99 to watch the episode you’re discussing. Well worth it!

That Diana-obsessed bride was creepy! I find it hard to believe that she and her massively obese husband are both Miami police officers. That tiara/veil thing was awful. She was much too old to wear an elaborate white dress and veil.

The black dress might have been OK (but not for a wedding dress) if it had been all black. The black-over-white effect was not good. I loved the simple white dress she chose. $2,800, syrstress, and I thought it was one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve seen on that show.

I can’t believe the young woman from Dallas who planned to spend $13k on two dresses! I do not understand the new multiple-dress trend. I hated the trashy $11k gown she chose. And none of the dresses looked good on her. She ended up spending almost $14k on the dress and extra skirt.
