“And they all seem to want to stuff themselves into strapless dresses that show off their tattoos.”

Zoe on the Red Carpet dress would be an indeal outfit for any bride who wants to show off her tattoos! It should be marketed as such - the sales will skyrocket! ;)

Great marketing tips for both Lurk and Bunsen. Many brides come in for beach weddings. That dress does look like a beach coverup. Wear your bikini underneath, and you’re ready for a Hawaiian honeymoon!

“That dress does look like a beach coverup.”

Great point! “This versatile dress will allow you to pack fewer items for your destination wedding, since after the ceremony it can be used as a beach coverup”. Or something like that. :)

I dunno if this was a rerun… Did you see the $34K Pnina runway dress that the bride’s mom paid for… to make her happy? Recession? What is that?! I’m sure Pnina is quickly slapping together a couple of $45K dresses :D

Bunsenburner- I also saw that episode last night. The $34K dress didn’t even look good on her. I actually thought the bride in the searsucker dress was adorable.

It’s 3AM Christmas Eve. I’m watching Say Yes. The bride has stage 4 breast cancer and found her perfect dress. It fit her funky style and covered scars on her chest. Yay! Everyone is happy and thankful. Following the credits was a picture of the bride in her dress -In Memorium- She succumbed to the cancer in April 2011.

I had a bad feeling about that bride for the whole half hour, especially when I realized the narrator had said she “has” not “had” cancer, but it was still a punch in the gut to learn the outcome. I hope her wedding day was filled with joy.

I was watching yesterday, too. I remember thinking during the show . . . stage 4 . . . omg . . I hope she can beat it . . . she’s so young. I almost lost it at the end of the show when they showed her picture. I was thinking especially of her husband and her mom. They both seemed so determined to make the whole wedding experience something she would treasure. I hope they are able to take some comfort in that.

I rarely watch the show, but it’s sometimes like a train wreck, however we flipped it on last night. That was a very sad moment that we almost missed, as we were fast-forwarding. The following episode had an uplifting story - bride originally from the Ukraine with cerebral palsy who’s parent moved to the US to get better health care for her and she found her fiance on-line.

I missed the beginning of the CP bride’s story. She is a beautiful and strong young lady and definitely deserved to find the dress of her dreams. She was treated very badly at a couple of other bridal salons, but Kleinfelds worked their magic to get her into a dress she loved.

What do you all have better to do than discuss this show with me? Who saw the episode with the older bride who receives messages from Princess Diana from beyond the grave? The one whose highlights make her look like bride of Frankenstein? People, please!

Hi there! I have better things to do, but don’t want to do them. I watched tonite and nearly split a gut over that woman. I could hear Princess Diana turning over in her grave from all the way across the pond every time that hideous bride mentioned her name.

Watching this show is Friday night mindless occupation. I guess Princess Di is the newer version of class. No one asks for a Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn look. Personally, I’d like Katherine Hepburn style–beautiful flowing pants outfits. When I see '2 brides" on show, one is happy in white dress, and often the other uncomfortable. Offer her a pant suit!!!

Someone did ask for a Grace Kelly look last night. Oh, and I had to pause the show when that woman started talking about Princess Di talking to her. Creepy! (What were the producers thinking?) I waited a bit and then fast forwarded through any segment she was in.
