The Real "Say Yes to the Dress" returns Friday

^^^Oh, yea, that red veil freaked me out!

I would love to see Sister Wives go to Atlanta and have Lori put that rooster in his place.

I’m actually surprised Robin didn’t go to Kleinfeld’s for her wedding dress. She strikes me as having expensive tastes.

Maybe after Robin has the baby and the other three have lost their weight, a shopping trip to New York will be in order. I can totally see the four wives having a vow renewal ceremony with Cody as a season finale.

Yup. I won’t add more or I would hijack this thread.

Why do I find this show fascinating? I’ll never figure it out. But I ordered Tivo from my cable company because I knew I had a social event to attend the same night as the SYTTD season premiere! I enjoyed Kelly Ripa’s turn as a consultant, probably because she was so blunt in acknowledging that she didn’t know what she was doing. But I didn’t like the crossover to the Cake Boss series. That was heavy handed.

I’m looking forward to catching up with the episodes I’ve stockpiled!

I am not so sure I’m going to like the Beverly Hills setting. What kind of dress sells for $100,000? I can’t even imagine paying $5000. If I had a dtr, I’d be sewing.

Having an intership at Keinfeld’s sounds like a hoot.

Isn’t there another “Say Yes” thread besides this one???

Anyway, anyone watch last night? It first I thought the Lynard Skynard wife was going to be one of the sleezy old biddies, but she ended up being awfully sweet and their story - of how he 30 years later asked HER to marry him - had me choked up! That was cute.

Also super cute to see the one woman who wore the original dress she had bought for the wedding that was cancelled. Happy for her. :)

Does anyone know what happened to Keisha??? Haven’t seen her in awhile…

I also noticed that Keasha hasn’t been around for a while. Maybe she’s still working at Kleinfeld’s and just decided to take a break from TV.

I was surprised at how much I liked the blue seersucker dress! I looked it up online and saw that Michelle Roth has a whole line of seersucker wedding gowns.

I was NOT a fan of the seersucker dress! :)

Hoo boy, I just visited the Michelle Roth website and can only say that you must immediately look at the wedding dress called “Zoe on the Red Carpet” . No really, go there right now, don’t hesitate. Then imagine it on someone who is size 22, the largest size it comes in. (Now go have a drink.) Can’t wait till that one appears on the show! Pnina can’t begin to compete…

Oh my goodness! I didn’t see that one before… it’s like a pornographic nightmare from the 70s. Way beyond fairy hooker!

Why would the other three wives have to lose weight? Every time I have watched Say Yes to the Dress, the brides are bigger than before! And they all seem to want to stuff themselves into strapless dresses that show off their tattoos.

Hoo boy, indeed! Having my drink :)

MommaJ, Joining with the drink. My goodness, why would anyone wear that unless it as OVER something else. Makes Pnina look demure.

The Sister Wives losing weight is in reference to the preview for this week’s episode that features the three “older” wives going to the gym, getting on the scale, and starting a work out program.

Sorry to derail the thread to the Sister Wives, but couldn’t resist with all the crossover going on with Kelly and Regis and the Cake Boss. I am looking forward to the Beverly Hills version, too. That’s going to be over the top. I’m surprised they didn’t have Kim Kardashian come to Kleinfeld’s to get her dress.

OMG, just found the crochet dress. Thank goodness that one wasn’t around when the pink fairy hooker bride was picking out her dress. She’d have picked that one for sure. I could see some of the black dress brides picking out a black version of that one, though. At least it would be opaque. A big bliss version, oh, Lord, I don’t even want to go there.

Wow, how much do you think that “Zoe on the Red Carpet” wedding dress cost???

Actually, that Zoe on the Red Carpet dress looks like one for the Kardashian girls. Too bad it came out too late. I’ll bet it shows up on a Gypsy Wedding, though. My cats would have a great time with that dress.

Why did I look? A crocheted dress? It wouldn’t be good for the gypsy girls, way too small - they love the big big big ballgown with mini-lights and lots of poof. Might be ok for the bridesmaids though. (off-topic - Sister wives slimming down has to be the end of the line for that show…or they are going to have a super “Selling Las Vegas” spin-off as they try to get their whole real-estate thing going in the market with the most foreclosures). Did you see the Beverly Hills SYTTD edition has a nice flamboyant “randy”-esque guy too?

Oh my. I wonder if that model in the Zoe on the REd Carpet dress knew she’d be basically “nekkid”, as we say in the South??

Thing is, that dress would be so pretty with a soft, light weight UNDER dress! :)

The only way I could see anyone wearing that Zoe on the Red Carpet dress would be at a beach wedding OVER a nice bikini!
