the "Secret Santa" thread

<p>So many of you are worrying this week, and praying that you’ll get into school, I’m going to make a suggestion.</p>

<p>Instead of just hoping for yourself, I’m going to suggest that each of you pick at least one other person to wish for. It doesn’t have to be anyone you know - and it’s probably better if it isn’t. Just pick one other random person from this board. Kind of like a “secret Santa” - you don’t have to tell them you are wishing for them, just do it secretly.</p>

<p>Each of you needs all the good wishes you can get - but I’m sure you also have a few to spare for someone else! Look at that person’s old posts, see what schools they’re trying to get into - and every time you say a prayer for yourself, say one for them too.</p>

<p>After the 10th, you can tell each other who you wished for, if you like.</p>

<p>There is one young person who posts regularly on these threads, always informatively, and with balance/maturity. I will be wishing especially for good luck for that student, but for everyone, as well. “Love the school that loves you!” wherever that may be!</p>

<p>There are so many for whom I would wish (child’s friends and classmates, posters, etc.) . . . I am in so long as I can cast a wide net!</p>

<p>I can’t possibly choose just one kid to root for! I will be sending wishes for the best possible long term outcome for all of you. For some, it might mean a different path than the one you think is the “right” one. There are many paths to enlightenment.</p>

<p>I’m with Rellielou, I can’t pick only one student. There are so many great students and parents who post on these threads that it would be impossible to choose just one. I’m hoping that every student and every parent who has a child applying will receive at least one favorable decision on March 10th. Good luck everyone! Keep the faith.</p>
