<p>So, just for fun this year, I think I’m going to audition for a local performance of The Sound of Music (ok, I’d rather be in the pit orchestra, but I doubt they’ll need me). I need to have a solo ready by next week. What’s a broadway song, in an alto range, that’s stylistically similiar to The Sound of Music?</p>
<p>Have you watched any other Rogers and Hammerstein musicals? I can’t think of any musicals more similar (stylistically, at least) to The Sound of Music than the other musicals that the duo wrote.</p>
