I couldnt watch another chokefest so switched over to Domi and Cornet only to see Cornet blow 5 set points, lose serve, then lose first set 5-7. Giving up on the women - they are just too awful - and going to watch Feli/Jerzyboy.
Oh, shoot. I like Cornet. And Jerzy. But most of all, I like Roger, and I’m very sad he’s out!
eb, I feel like this year there are a lot more legit younger players showing up - do you get the feeling that the old guard is passing a bit? There are several women I’ve never heard of before.
I don’t know - they have yet to win a slam or big tourney. You see flashes of brilliance but they have difficulty believing they can win, imo, and they fold like a cheap suit. Of course, they post the occasional upset (see Sloane Stephens) and there are also veteran players who are mental midgets, too (too many to list.) There are some who I think will definitely be GSC (Madison Keys, for instance.) But, a lot of times, it seems to me that the last player standing is because the person on the other side of the net sucked worse.
Speaking of…I have to go watch replay of Vika/BZS. Heard it was one big mess but funnier than ****.
Haven’t watched the night matches yet.
Very tough match between Pics & Simon. I was exhausted just watching all those long points. I thought for sure it was going to a fifth.
Jason Goodall a very nice addition to ESPN especially when he is commentating along with DC.

Don’t know who you’re hearing, but we have some woman named Sue who never shuts up and Renee Stubbs, who I really like. Lots of discussions about Bouchard’s grips and how they limit her by making her unable to snap her wrist, which really limits her on hard courts (forehand, serve, overheads).
I like the other half of the draw much better.
Thank goodness that is over. I’m not a fan of Maria, but I hope she gets through and thrashes Bouchard.

Could be, eb, she is British. And very annoying. I like Lindsay the few times I’ve heard her.
In the Tomic/Berdych match we have the trifecta: Todd Woodbridge, Lleyton, and John Newcombe.

Alexander, sometimes one has to pull for a player not on the list for strategic purposes. For instance, I once had to pull for Sampras over Roddick.
I need Maria to send Bouchard back to Canada. Once she does that, I have no more use for her. 
There is no one I dislike more than Nole so I don’t anticipate needing him for anything.
