My bad. I thought when Ana won the 2nd set that was the match.
I think I jinxed her.

Spent 12 hours at the tournament today. Was watching Ana. Garcia has a nice game and I guess also beat her at the semis in Monterrey. Had planned on watching Townsend and Stephens play doubles but evidently Townsend pulled out due to an ankle issue.
What is with all the women crying this tourney? Granted, Lisicki wasn’t in tears during the match but gosh - with Flavia’s weepfest against Maria, Serena weepy her first match, Timea crying after her 4th rd and Lisicki crying after her 4th round match, too - there must be something in the water in IW.
Hoping the mens matches are good today and there isn’t anymore crying on the ladies side.
Did Flavia ever say why she was crying that first set against Maria?
^ Not really. When they interviewed her on court after the match she something about her emotions just getting the best of her.
Meanwhile, lovely to see JesusFed in the house today.
Did Serena pull out? She posted something on Instagram about her run ending due to injury. I was expecting her to come on next.
Just finished watching JJ/Lisicki (I went to bed last night with SL up a set and a break) and they announced Serena pulled out with knee injury. I’m happy that I don’t have to see another final with her in it. Wonder if she will make a miraculous recovery for Miami.
Bummed though that no Fedal semi on hard court - but I do believe yesterday’s match might be the first ever Rafa lost when healthy.
“I do believe yesterday’s match might be the first ever Rafa lost when healthy.”
I am pretty sure he Nadal was healthy in most of his 19 losses to Djokovic or 10 losses to Federer to name a few.
No no no. He is never not injured when he loses. Even if he doesn’t ever outright admit it (which he never does.) But there is always grimacing, stretching, pill popping and pained looking up at his camp at some point. Then the comms get on the bandwagon and it’s “Rafa’s is obviously not himself, blah, blah, blah.”
He is undefeated when healthy.
VB is so useless.
Very cute video. Kids at Indian Wells elementary school draw pictures of tennis players.

Hehe! Well, for now, I am savouring the can Nole is opening on our friend Murray. Looks like another Nole vs Fed final is in the works.
Legenderer. ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^
Thank goodness that mess is over.
Hopp Roger!
Wow. I thought this was all over just 15 minutes ago.
Very high quality tennis! Except of course for the double faults. Very fun to watch!
With Federer, it ain’t over 'till its over.
Ok, it’s over. Excellent match…with the right outcome!
There is no doubt that the Federer vs Djokovic rivalry is the best, possibly in the history of the game. The Federer vs Nadal rivalry is very one-sided, and the Djokovic vs. Nadal rivalry is dictated by the surface they are playing in (Nadal dominates on clay while Djokovic dominates on hard court). The Federer vs Djokovic rivalry is very intense, very unpredictable and even…and most of all, almost also results in a great match.
Well, just boo. But at least Roger didn’t get blown off court and was able to take it to a third.
Bumping for Miami
Just came in from errands and appts and both players on court called for the trainer - deep in the 3rd It’s tough playing back to back tourneys immediately after DC.
