My wife is not a Serena fan. Hates the way she plays so she doesn’t watch.
But…Serena is a fantastic tennis player. Winning 20 Grand Slams! Amazing feat! I don’t think I will live long enough to see anybody else win 20 grand slams!
I don’t know a lot about tennis but watch it anyway. What does she not like about Serena’s play?
It’s a power game. There is no finesse. Finds it boring.

Serena definitely has a power game, but imho what gets her into the winners circle is mental toughness. Way, way too many WTA players have mental issues holding them back. A lot of them are technically solid but are in serious need of a sports psychologist or something as they end up being their own worst enemy out on the court.
I was very happy to see Serena win. I woke up early (6am here) and thought she had everything under control in the 2nd set so I walked the dog and was quite surprised they were still playing when I returned. I agree the most the girls in your could benefit from some Sports Psychology.

With regard to Serena, I usually don’t repeat unkind remarks about a woman’s appearance, but somebody described her as looking like ‘Barry Bonds in drag.’ I can imagine it would be extremely intimidating to face her across the net.
