Any guesses on what the 5th set score will end up for Cilic vs Isner. I am rooting for Isner but my guess is 22-20 Cilic.
I agree with emilybee’s analysis of Rafa and I am a fan. Equating a person who by all available accounts is a hardworking, quality person to a sociopathic jerk like Tiger Woods is pretty far off base. Jmo.

I’m looking forward to seeing Dustin Brown play again tomorrow. I wonder if he can keep up that same level of play and serving.
My brother and I were both happy to see Raonic go out so we won’t have him on court 1 for quarters on Wednesday. We watched tennis all day yesterday with me dozing off a couple of times - managed to stay up all day despite having not slept for 33 hours which helps with the jet lag. Overall the games were pretty dull until the Watson Williams match which certainly kept me awake!
I am a huge fan of Venus and Serena and was pulling hard for Serena in that match. I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to play in the face of that crowd! And, IMO: they were beyond rude to cheer so loudly for double faults. I was always taught that tennis “etiquette” called for cheering when something great happened, not when someone just plainly messed up. So Serena’s accomplishment in pulling that match out is even greater. Of course the crowd was pulling for their “hometown” player. I get that! But they eased on over into being rude, IMO.
Bummed to see the Isner/Cilic match end so early. I can’t believe Isner double-faulted twice in the last game and had only double-faulted once the day before. Probably the 4 hours the day before took it’s toll. Or maybe he was afraid of another never-ending match. Happy to see Madison Keys move on.

Disappointed for Sunshine, but she’s never done particularly well at Wimby and it’s nice to see Mugu reach the qtrs since she hasn’t really done anything in a slam since RG '14.
Vika looked very good from the bits I saw.
Aga beating Empress was NID. I think she is going to be the player to come through on the bottom.

I forgot I was behind real time and wrote off 4th set when Djoko went up 4-2. Since match was suspended, I change my prediction to 7-5 Djoko.
Well I was dead wrong on Isner, so this time I’ll go with the safe pick. Djoko will win the 5th set.
I can’t believe the scoreline of Simon/Bird. WTF happened there? Did Bird forget to show up?
Maybe there is hope for the next generation of American players…The women are doing well already. The American juniors (boys and girls under 18’s) went 9 and 0 today and are 17 - 1 so far…although we’re only through round 1.
Court 1 schedule tomorrow for our Wimbledon visit is Federer vs Simon followed by Wawrinka vs Gasquet. Hoping for 2 5 setters!

Halfway through the ladies. Very happy with outcome of bottom half - two pretty kits, too. Mugu played very well, imo and Aga didn’t have to do much of anything but let Keys implode. I cannot believe all the commentators here thought she had a great chance to get to the final.
I really wish they wouldn’t give the scores of the matches on CC when you’re watching Court 1. Or at least give a spoiler alert. Think I’ll dash off an email - not that it will do any good. .
