<p>Your comment doesn’t make much sense. My brother is rich. His kids still want to do well on their standardized tests. One, they will still have to wait about 25 years to get their inheritance, and two, the mere fact they are from a rich family doesn’t mean they don’t want to go to medical or law school.</p>
<p>That being said, such an expenditure is a waste of money, and I think you will find in life that even the rich don’t want to waste their money. I am in favor of taking a prep course, but it doesn’t have to cost $10,000.</p>
<p>That being said, you might also consider the fact that if you spend $10,000 on such a course, and it does help you get into a Berkeley or a UCLA, at in-state tuition, then I would say that money is actually well spent.</p>

<p>Uh-huh, because there is such an undersupply of people who want to be doctors. I hear medical schools are just BEGGING people to enroll!</p>

They should just spend their money investing in some kind of business. Maybe take business classes at community college first, but good God, if it were as easy for me to get the bank to loan me 100k to buy myself a fast food restaurant as it is to get that much to go to college, I’d just buy myself up a McDonald’s. God knows that will be more profitable than my degree. FFS.</p>
