I have three applications due January 1st. One is free for students living outside the US, another is free as it’s a scholarship program but the third one…oh, what a naughty school. It sticks out like sore thumb. It costs US$55 to apply. tsk tsk

Isn’t banking wonderful?

Stupid bank sent my father’s new credit card to an address in Malaysia instead of here to Romania. Heck, they even sent it to the wrong freaking BRANCH. And since my dad’s credit card expires in two months.

Well, both cards got cancelled.

Joyous.

Oh, joy.

Blessed joy.

And I stayed up all night trying to perfect my supplementary essay to this rascal-y school.

teeth grinding from the forced smile

Ain’t life just great?

A procrastinator’s slap in the face for such a lifestyle.

I haven’t but I had to rant to some people who could hopefully understand how a failed credit card is…sheer…hell. And not in a spoiled “oh, I can’t buy this designer dress” kind of way.

If I can’t pay the app fee for a month-and the deadline for online submission and payment for online submission is January 1st, I’m going to assume yes.

We don’t have a bank account here in Romania.

1) If it’s important to you and
2) If there’s a way for a 3rd party to pay it on your behalf (and if you’re willing to refund, naturally) - I’ll pay for you.

I’m in for a bit of hell in th next 24 hours, as I have quite a few supplementaries to produce. I’d go on a killing spree if any of the effort would go to waste.

I hope I understood what you said :-/
If you send the application w/o application fee, it will still be processed and the school will have to send you a note reminding the fee. So I think you’d better send you app now and in the mean time seek help from any relatives who can pay the app by their credit card. It’s not that bad, so stay calm.

jaah, hey, Hanoi… I miss Hanoi. L’s Place, especially, near Daewoo and Aussie Embassy.

Yeah. Yeah, I’ll just send in the app. I already completed the Pre-App form. I just… sigh thought I’d be paying the fee after the application was all in.

bah head on table Stupid procrastinating me.

leyser, thanks for the offer but I’ll just wait to see when I’ll get a reminder from them about the fee and hope the card issue is resolved by then. That’s a very sweet and and kind offer.

Hey Izzy, try e-mailing the schools and explaining the situation. Most likely they will understand. Ask them to either waive the application fee or temporarily waive it (to wait a month until you can pay). Best of luck!
