I think its time we all address the elephant in the room. For my backup plans in Pakistan , I can’t decide which university to keep as my first choice , NUST or LUMS. Nust obviously has much repute and so rankings. wow. But Lums also is an exuberant university. I guess the bad thing here is that Lums is a business focused school , ergo , I cant decide if it would be canny to get an engineering degree from a business school and dismissing the most well known and internationally ranked Nust.
Thoughts ?
NUST is strict but LUMS has a much “free” atmosphere.
The competition is going to be very high at NUST.
An engineering degree from NUST would probably look better but if you are leaning towards business side as well then LUMS would look better.
Guys I am confused between LUMS AND NUST. I want to do Electrical Engineering and i knw NUST is a good engineering school but LUMS has also made its name. LUMS is the best place for grooming, extra curricular, social events etc. Also, it has linkages with many companies such as Microsoft, Egro etc. I also heard Luminite are more recognized as compared to graduates from NUST ? But still i am confused. I don’t know whether all above is true ? What your point of view and which university should I opt for a bright future ?
