I’m thinking about transferring to UVA as a second year. How are the theatre and English departments here?
Can’t speak for theatre, but English is absolutely fantastic. The graduate program is ranked in the top 5 of the country, which trickles down to undergrad, because the same professors teach these classes. We have Nobel Laureates (like Rita Dove) and some of the biggest names in their respective fields. They also keep classes quite small.
