successful ■■■■■ is successful

i agree with what he said, i just didn’t see a point in posting it because we’d find out in under a matter of hours.

This has to be the most successful ■■■■■■■■ ever.

I’m sorry if this is a harsh reality for some people that were expecting different decisions, but I personally was able to check and saw that i was accepted. I can verify the authenticity of the post and see that it’s definitely legit. The name is Furda, the date is tomorrow, and the Class of 2013 is what it says…i’m 99% that these are legitimate, and them saying that they were trying it on the letter from last year is not only preposterous, but is fully unrealistic too. They uploaded the decisions, someone accidentally let out this /timmydecision.php link, and now Penn admissions is trying to make it go away by saying that it’s false. If the decisions were false, they wouldn’t be saying “no decisions are official until tomorrow at 3pm”, they would have said straight up that it was an error and would’ve closed the hole.

iwantpenn, did you check it before they took it down?

hilariousimlolin- yeah, i checked at like 3:30ish and it said that i got in. i definitely think this is legit, and you can see my reasoning in my past 2 posts.

i have the identical letter that _____ had, except for cas. i also read it to a friend that is a current freshman at penn, and she said that it sounds legit.

there is no way that they didn’t at least upload some of these decisions yet…i find that incredibly difficult to believe, and if they were actually testing, they would be using testing accounts and not running the risk of this exact situation happening. i think they got caught, and are trying to rectify it by saying that it’s untrue…sorry but i find that incredibly hard to believe

and i could very well be wrong, and eat my words tomorrow at 3pm, but in my gut, there is just too much compelling evidence pointing to the fact that it’s legit

iwantpenn, did you just join today? and this is your 2nd post. just saying

i just joined today becuase i finally felt the need to speak up…i’ve been a long time lurker though, and saw this thread when it still had 5 replies. You can believe me if you want to or simply disagree, but i definitely think that i’m making a strong case here

well i do agree with this logic now (as i did a few hours ago but just a bit too late :(… so the waiting continues

he’s def a ■■■■■, just chill out and wait till decisions come out tommorow

I’m not a ■■■■■ dude, I just didnt’ feel the need to register to respond on every single “CHANCE ME!!!” thread…sorry that my logic makes even the smallest amount of sense, and i’m not trying to be rude, but this HAS to be legit.

Just curious, in general, about how you guys look at your decisions. Do you cover your eyes then peek, or do you get someone else to tell you the results? What’s the most common way to do this? Just swallow hard then click?

Did anyone enter an incorrect username or password? If anyone got an error message from that, then the site is definitely connected to Penn’s actual database. I think the following are some possible situations, in order of likelihood:

1) The link was, in fact, to Penn’s database of applicants, but the decisions were random and entered as a test for the tech crew.
2) The link was to Penn’s database and included legitimate decisions.
3) The link was a scam.

KG2626- why would they go through all the trouble of uploading all of the data and names and all that, and then just go and put in random decisions? Why does that make logical sense? and do you honestly believe that they’re STILL not done with the decisions, even with less than 24 hours to go? (if so-which i do think is possible, albeit for a tiny tiny tiny number of applicants, don’t you think they’d at least upload them early so then they can double and triple check tomorrow)

honestly guys, I think it was legit just from reading what other people have posted.

but don’t worry about this too much, ya’ll will find out in less than 24 hours. Just hope for the best. Good luck!!

Iwantpenn,

It’s very possible that they were just testing the letters to see if they showed up. I am certain they are done with the decisions themselves; however, I believe that they certainly have the time tomorrow to enter the 3,500 or so decisions. I am not denying that the decisions are legit. I just think that there’s a chance they were not.

i tried with my name and password but it said it could not be found. I tried it a bunch of times and made sure I was typing it correctly, but it did not work. I forget what it said exactly but sometime like your name was not found in the database? I thinkkkk

Hey,
So i actually got in as well.
And I applied to the Jerome Fisher M&T program.
The story:
My dad was checking my Penn Portal because it seemed like their was a clerical mistake and Penn was saying they hadn’t gotten my Jerome essay.
He then clicked on some link that took him to the website that _______ posted.
He inputted my username and password stuff.
It gave him a letter of decisions with my real name. As well as the fact that i applied to jerome FIsher. It said i got in to M&T.

I think that this is either a mistake on Penn’s part or a very good fake site because the website no longer works.

The situation is shady because Penn isn’t releasing a clear answer on what happened. It is a HTTPS with the S meaning secure. The decision things knows to much information. It also gives out different letters to different people and seems to be Penn’s site. My dad also was directed there from the actual Penn site, or so he thinks. Furthermore the letter seems fairly legitimate. However, I shouldnt know my decision yet and me getting excited then worried annoys me.

thanks MC99, you even further confirmed my own personal suspicions that this is legit. If they did actually take the results from last year and randomly apply them to the whole list of applicants, what are the chances that you owuld get a letter with your decision to M&T? I’m sure that it gets many fewer applicants than CAS for example, and probability suggests that it’d be super difficult for you to get that letter matching the program.

Now, if you got one that say, deferred you from CAS, then i’d be more inclined to believe that this isn’t legitimate, but this really just adds more info the pile of evidence suggesting that this is indeed real

oh, and it totally wouldn’t surprise me if timmy was fired.
