i just threw up in my mouth…only one person said that he got accepted out of how many who checked?

for the hell of it, can people who checked it post their stats and their decision? the 4 straight rejects and deferrals scare me.

The letter has dates from this year though :(

well ive been following everyhting closely
6 people manifested themeselves i think

1 acceptance 4 deferrals and 1 rejection i think so far

damn.

i take 2 hours away from CC and guess what shows up? i hoped something like this would happen, but that I would have checked it before they took it down. i’m mad i missed it.

listen guys…I talked to them and unless they’re lying (which I highly doubt, there’s no reason for that now), then the results haven’t even been inputted yet. In fact, they’re all at the admin office now (I called at 5:20 and talked to someone) finishing up. Contrary to whatever misconceptions we initially had, the results have not been inputted into the system yet. Let’s just trust the people at admissions and wait until tomorrow. I’m saying this not only b/c I think the people who got bad news shouldn’t freak out but because anyone with good news might be doubly disappointed tomorrow if that goes to hell…Please be reasonable in spite of all the tension!

I’m a FBLA national officer with four businesses, #1 in class of about six hundred, founded a chapter of STAND (anti-genocide club) at my school, serve as a guest speaker for NJ Commission for Holocaust Education and I got a waitlist letter.

they told you the committe is still meeting at this point?.. if that’s so I think they may as well be capable of making mistakes like this. Didn’t take advantage of it,

yes they’re still meeting and finalizing decisions and until they have done so, they’re not posting the decisions anywhere

i got a 2350 SAT, top 2% of very good public school (500 kids in my class) that sends a couple kids to harvard each year, maybe 5-10+% go to ivies. my recs i assume are not stellar, but still decent/good. extracurrics are kind of average, no real leadership stuff. essays imo were good to very good… i think a deferral is not all that unlikely, though i was (unconsciously) expecting an acceptance so it really hit me kinda hard. the news is cheering me up tho

guys we will just log off… since everyone who looked at it was rejected, lets just think it is fake and wait till tomorrow to be suprised.

i would just like to say, after reading this entire thread, i suspected that this link was non-legit from the start. are we all that impatient for our decisions, and are willing to believe anything at this point? personally, until i got the email this week, i intended to wait until monday. so i have one thing to say to all of you:

HOLYMOTHERMARYOFJESUSCHRISTSUPERSTAR, just wait until 3 tomorrow!

OHYES and good luck to all!

nooooo
______ was not rejected

yeah, i missed to see it anyway. now ill go out and watch a movie…

so it works the other way for you, ______, ~ : )

Damn, the prophet got rejected. That really sucks.

Hopefully it was all wrong.

Guys, be calm. Remember how we supported each other before and how we were so positive about everything? Are we just going to freak out and change our natures just because of a stupid link that we don’t even know if it’s legit? I knew someone would start suspecting _____ did something sneaky to w/e site. But before the result actually comes out, please don’t accuse anyone. Just don’t overreact…life goes on.

Just don’t let this ruin everything…be logical and clear minded please.

ok guys, what’s going on?

I’m sorry, but why does no one accept the option that they could be lying? I mean, there’s significant evidence pointing to the fact that it’s legit. In the conversation that someone posted on page 12 of this thread( or maybe 11), they specifically said that people should take note of the old dean’s name…however, the image that was posted in the first page of the thread CLEARLY shows that it’s signed by Eric J Furda- the new dean of admissions. Also pointing to legitimacy is the fact that it’s dated for tomorrow- December 12, 2008, and decisions definitely didn’t come out on the 12th last year, and it wasn’t 2008 last year. FINALLY, it says that it’s clearly welcoming him/her to the class of 2013- if it was from last year, wouldn’t it say 2012?

Finally, wasn’t there a thread that said that decisions were uploaded yesterday at 4? I have a hard time believing that these decisions weren’t uploaded yet, especially considering the fact that other ivies have heard…don’t they share lists?
ALSO pointing to legitimacy is the fact that this is a completely new system- MyPenn Portal is something new this year and didn’t exist last year. I have no doubt that they were testing it out, and inadvertently posted a different link…this is pretty messed up no doubt, but i think they made a mistake and think their only recourse is to deny it (i mean, the firs ttime I called about it, the lady said that someone hacked the site-their stories are completely inconsistent, and it just points to the fact that it’s probably legit…
