^^^ I suspect lololu spelled the word “shirt” without the “r.”

The black lab who is left alone for 5 days and who has nothing better to do than bark non-stop starting around 11 pm. OK, it is not the dog, actually, it is her owners…

This reminds me of my recent issue with my neighbor. I am pretty sure she is putting her yellow lab in a crate in her backyard every night, where he sleeps quietly, then wakes up at 6am and barks and howls for two hours straight until she lets him in. It’s COLD here now, the dog should not be outside all night and when he wakes up he probably REALLY has to pee and can’t in that tiny crate and has to hold it for two hours. She’s a nice lady that we have a good enough relationship, and we JUST moved into the neighborhood, so I really don’t want to rock any boats… but I wish someone would set her straight.
She’s being cruel whether she knows it or not.

Ema, tell your neighbor nicely that you love dogs, and tell her her dog is a gem (whether true or not). But then tell her that her dog barking is waking you and your BF up. This should nudge her to make an accommodation, I hope.

People who act differently around other people.

Flight delays! D its arriving seven hours later than planned thanks to the fog in Chicago this morning.

Programs that asterisk out dirty words. Or misspelled ones.

I saw a great sign in a store today…

“unattended children will be given a cup of espresso and a new puppy”.

Yep…it really annoys me when little kids are ransacking a store and their parents don’t think it’s important to watch them.

People who drive up to a drive-up ATM, and THEN start looking for their checkbook/credit card/whatever. Also people who finish their business at a drive-up ATM, and take 30 seconds to put their stuff away before driving away from the ATM.

Hospitals advertising on TV and radio. Nothing better to spend their money on?

People acting like cigarette butts don’t qualify as litter. Also, can somebody please figure out how to make them dissolve quicker?

Drivers who come to almost a full stop before making a right turn.

Cashiers at fast-food places that stick their grubby finger in your paper cup when handing it to you.

Word processing programs in which you have to deactivate all the weird features that almost nobody actually uses (automatic numbering, etc.). How about making it so the 1% who uses those features has to activate them, rather than the other 99% has to deactivate them?

Also cars that come with all sorts of automatic features to do things that were never very hard to do in the first place (e.g.,turn on headlights). Also, cars whose radio and heater are as complicated as the cockpit of an airliner. How about an on/off switch?

Yep… they should definitely be fishing for that while they’re driving along…

I think it’s dumb that cars being made in 2012 do not have these features. Or the ones from 2012 that don’t have cruise control… really?

I don’t understand this one. Did you mean to say “drivers who DON’T come to a full stop?” Where I live, you’d get a ticket for not completely stopping at a stop sign before turning right. And our red light cameras will result in a $175 fine for anyone who makes a right turn on red without coming to a complete, full stop first.

I see this a lot. Often the parents look to be young professionals. It’s as if they think the whole world is privileged and chartered with looking after their kids for them. Especially bugs me at places like Costco with all the heavy carts getting pushed around. It’s actually really dangerous to leave your kids attended in places like that.

When I am feeling low, have a big problem or setback and want to talk to someone to get some sympathy. Instead I get THEIR story about how my problems are nothing compared to something they have gone through.

^^ actually I pick friends for exactly that reason Tatin!
Its true, compared to their dramas, my irritations are miniscule!
;)

People who drive 30 MPH in a 45 MPH zone (yes, YOU … and you hit every flipping red light last night).

Stupid people.

Health care companies that auto-charge the bank account for the month AFTER you report your parent’s death.

Watching long time neighborhood businesses being torn down and condos ( with "street level shops) being put up, isn’t bad enough, but they don’t clean up their crap & now I have two flat tires! ( opposite sides of car, one is a slow leak but the other is a big gash & the only place I drive is to the grocery store which is across from the condos & on the freeway to see D- i havent been 4-wheeling lately
)
I was really hoping to have this set of snow tires last another winter.
:p

I haven’t found much annoying since the political ads stopped two and half weeks ago. Until yesterday. One thing I find annoying: when my husband will not listen to a suggestion from me because he’s a big man now and I’m not his mother. Like when I suggested to him that him he wouldn’t need an extra two hours for an extra 5 pounds of turkey and then, lo and behold, the turkey is ready 90 minutes before dinner time. Leaving me to sprint through making the sides, setting the table, hustling people through drinks to their seats, etc. Next year in a restaurant.

"Yep… they should definitely be fishing for that while they’re driving along… "

I’ve never seen a bank whose ATM was right NEXT to the road…there is space in the parking lot to pull off to the side and find your stuff before pulling up to the ATM. It’s the ATM equivalent of ladies at the supermarket who wait until all their items have been rung up before they start looking for their money/credit card/checkbook.

“I don’t understand this one. Did you mean to say “drivers who DON’T come to a full stop?” Where I live, you’d get a ticket for not completely stopping at a stop sign before turning right.
I’m not talking about stop signs…I’m talking about somebody driving along at like 40 mph, and they are going to turn right into a store’s parking lot. They slow down to about 5mph for the turn, like the car will explode if they go any faster in the turn.
