Saw this on Twitter this morning and couldn’t agree more…

When the salesperson asks if you want to donate a dollar to this organization or that organization. No, I don’t need to pay you more in hope you actually donate that money! And if I had the money to donate to every cause that you people keep asking me for, I wouldn’t be shopping at your place to begin with!

"I think it’s dumb that cars being made in 2012 do not have these features.

Ok, YOU need these features, but some of us might prefer a simpler, cheaper car with less stuff that can go wrong. Is it really so hard to turn on the headlights?

I see people driving without their headlights on all the time. I don’t understand it. I’ve forgotten to turn them on for a minute when driving a different car, because mine turn on automatically and I don’t think to turn them on, but I figure it out really fast WHEN I CAN’T SEE!

What’s funny is my usual car is a '97 and has automatic headlights, and my parents cars which are both only a year or two old are the ones where I get confused for a second because they are manual. One could argue that maybe we don’t all want to pay for power windows, either, but things have a way of becoming standard eventually and I’m surprised the headlights are taking so long. I just got a brand new car with one of the nicer packages and I don’t think my headlights are automatic either.

I think it is pretty common for people to think that"they can see so they don’t need their headlights." I always have mine on, not automatic but I figure some drivers are so inattentive that they need them.
I didn’t know some cars had automatic headlights, H’s car doesn’t have back windows that roll down. Maybe that is why he has a moon roof instead?

People who don’t return shopping carts to the cart return or if closer, to the store.

People who call a shopping cart “buggy”.

Grocery clerks who think it’s helpful to pile as many items into a single ultrathin plastic grocery bag that ultimately breaks walking out to the car. Or, everything rolls out and those biscuits in a can hide under your seat for 6 months which surprise you with a very loud pop in August making you duck for cover.

People who don’t use turn signals while you are waiting for ANY break in traffic pattern to make a left / right which you could have done if you knew they were going to slow down and turn.

People who make fun of the “other” political party and think it’s cute but they can’t justify why they support their own party.

States that want to secede - I just wish they would, but I need a few days to pack up and get out first.

I fly a lot, and the 3 S’s are what really annoy me. That is when you are sitting next to Smackers, Snifflers, and Shufflers. Chomp, chomp, smack, pop (shut your mouth, dang it!), sniff, sniff, snifffff (blow your nose!), and shuffle, shuffle (do you really need to shuffle the cards exactly 10 times, LOUDLY, before every game, when the rest of us are all trying to sleep)?

Of course, I just discovered something worse. Farters (do you really think we don’t know who the guilty party is)? Hey, anyone can let it accidentally slip, but every couple of minutes on a three hour flight? Don’t you get the point when I turn on the air, point it at you, groan several times, and finally slip my jacket up over my face so it covers my nose?

People who drive the wrong way in parking lot lanes. How could they park in those spots when they are slanted the other way?

Also, when I go to church on Christmas Eve and they have run out of programs. I’m on the finance committee and I know we can afford to run another 100 copies!

Fog lights. People around here drive all the time with those fog lights on, even when there’s not a hint of fog. It’s as bad as having your brights on when you meet a car on a 2-lane road.

Well uh oh. Picked up calling the shopping cart a “buggy” from our British au pair, and the kids both did as well. Guess we will be terminally annoying in the supermarket. Also picked up calling teh trunk of the car “the boot”, though that died down a bit. But love calling things we like “brilliant”- another phrase we picked up.

What annoys me are people who linger when they are done at the ATM, especially when there is a long line behind them. Ditto for people sitting in their car in parking lots when there are few spaces to be had and people are blocking traffic waiting for the desired/coveted spot. MOVE already!

People who ride your bumper on two lane country roads in bad weather or when you are already driving at or above speed limit. We had one of these idiots yesterday during a snowstorm. Not only is it dangerous, it is distracting and causes me to go even slower because I am constantly looking into the rear view mirror and getting aggravated. What are they in a hurry for?

Vendors who think they know how to spell my name more accurately than I do! Ahem…just write it the way it appears on the order form…no freelancing!
