This is what they did before the Renaissance

Sendivogian skill I must possess
If I am to from little make success
And turn these boards, so late near dead, to gold
From leaden posts bring banter back, like old
Times saw in winning threads of ev’ry sort,
Permitting them to a too quick death thwart.
Perhaps we shall rebuild this Palatine,
Now sunken into rubble, once so fine,
And bring our HSL to gleam again
Brighter than any metal brought to Spain.

Just a poim. I haven’t actually written one in quite some time.

It’s quite brilliant, imo.

lol thank you

I’ve had an awful lack of inspiration lately. It’s quite funny that HSL should shake me out of it if only for such a poem as this lol

For our worth, it is but a sword,
For our prejudice, it is but a mantle,
What may one use, but a litany,
Being a sonnet of sundering solitude,
Preempt a war,
Tempt a collar,
Our light stands upon a forward legacy,
It is such that from ash,
Such will list us to the end.

lol quite good ILY - very Wordsworthian I must say

Those were pretty cool. I think the Renaissance would be interesting, guessing from that Renaissance fair I went to (and Shakespeare) I’m pretty sure it was a time period of endless sex jokes that rhymed.
