@NoviceDad You should edit the list proactively every year. I immediately noticed your list still has lot of feeders for SUNY Upstate UAP program. They have been cutting few feeders every year and for current year they only have Syracuse University per Upstate website. My DD started her MS1 at Upstate (feeder ACPHS)and she is super happy.
Edited: I have noticed you have two URLs. bs-md and bs/md as one of the qualifiers in the URL. Former one is older from 2019 and that’s where I landed (part of the older blog possibly); later one is updated i 2024 and has mostly current info and top menu link rightly points to it.
How many applicants (and out of how many) are forwarded to AMC for further review? I remember seeing statistics somewhere but forgot.
If Siena forwards your application to AMC, do they forward your essays as well? Another words, whatever student wrote to Siena when applying to this BS/MD program, does Albany get access to it too?
Anyone moves to next round of Baylor2baylor bsmd . Got info that there will be a group case based presentation and based on that nearly 25 advance to next round out of which 6 are finally selected . Any tips on how to prepare for these rounds .

@NoviceDad you are an expert! Can you please share what to expect during AMC interview? We were told it is MMI style with 6 stations. Is it all scenario/ethical questions or with a mix of “Tell me about yourself”, “Why Albany Medical School”, “Why Medicine” mixed in? Thank you so much. We would appreciate your guidance!
Seems to have gotten more quiet every year as the process has gotten much more competitive over the past decade with the cancellation of several BS/MD programs and more applicants.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, the process is extremely competitive with the number of applicants growing each year while the number of spots is not. I am just surprised that this topic no longer seems active, while in prior years parents were discussing their experiences and later sharing the results of the cycle.

Congratulations! I think big goals to be met from this program are:
3.6 GPA
No grade less than a B in all science classes and C in non sciences
MCAT of 511 in first sitting.
The question one must ask before enrolling any program is whether these are achievable and also check with the program if they can provide any stats about people not being able to meet them.
Matriculation in the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell occurs upon completion of the student’s undergraduate degree provided that the student maintains a minimum 3.6 overall GPA as well as a minimum 3.6 science GPA at the end of the first academic year at Hofstra University and every academic year thereafter, and satisfies the pre-medical requirements with a high-level of professional behavior, without repeating a course, and with no grade lower than a B in any science course, and no grade less than a C in a non-science course. The pre-medical course requirements for BS-BA/MD students correspond to the recommended coursework for applicants to the MD program in the same academic year as the year accepted BS-BA/MD students matriculate as undergraduate students at Hofstra University. A minimum Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) score equivalent to the 80th percentile at the first sitting must be achieved and submitted by January of the medical school application cycle.
