Thursday night beer pong

I’m up for that too, but where? lol

^I’m in

I also have a question: do people play beer pong or flipcup more often? Because I SUCK at beer pong but I’ve gotten pretty good at flipcup.
This totally would have influenced my college decision, if I thought to ask it. But alas, I already sent my deposit to Rice so I guess I will have to start flipcup games myself.

what is flipcup? And I can be good at beer pong or completely crap lol. I have a tendency to throw side arm and it does mess me up a lot

flipcup is boss. I beat out my host in flipcup when I visited haha. Someone should start a facebook message to organize all of this…

Yeah, seriously, what is flipcup? I looked it up on Urban and I hope that’s not what you were talking about… =]

Thank you pano!
modulation: HAHA, it actually has a space: “flip cup”
here is the real definition: [Urban Dictionary: flip cup](Urban Dictionary: Flip Cup)
although I do enjoy “when you flp a ho on her back and make her b cup to a c cup” as well. jk.

^Hahaha, thanks. That clears things up a bit…

That was so funny though! “when you flp a ho on her back and make her b cup to a c cup” lol… I couldn’t stop cracking up LOL.

Still don’t really understand the game but hopefully someone can teach it to me when we meet

I bet parents are going to start freaking out about this thread…
i’m actually surprised no parents have posted anything yet… so parents, what do ya’ll think about underage drinking at colleges?

It happens everywhere. Happened in the 70s-80s, it’ll happen now.

Not that i’m a parent or anything but that’s just what I think they’d say.

I’m not a parent either but I agree with Shazheng…

drinking isn’t a bad thing, binging is… and most cases of binge occur if someone is deprived of the thing, so they must make up for it all while they can

To answer your original question…yes I’ve played beer pong on Thursdays before, it’s not uncommon. Also people go to pub a lot on Thursday nights, so while you’d be hard pressed to find an actual “party”, Thursday nights are usually a good night for chill drinking games or going to pub, socializing, listening to a local artist they bring in etc.

As far as Wednesdays…its tougher because tests often could be on Thursdays for a Tuesday/Thursday class, and MWF classes don’t OFTEN have tests on Fridays. It just depends if you have pressing work that needs to get done or not.

And yeah, RUPD will probably get ****ed at you drunk driving on campus…also because it would be pretty obvious too (driving the wrong way on the loop) because the road is pretty narrow, so if you are swerving all over the place, you’ll probably end up wrecking your car.

But if you aren’t mixing the two, they won’t give a crap. My friends at other schools told me how their cops can slap them with tickets if they are walking back to their dorm room drunk…that would never happen at Rice.

Most likely, not many parents have piped up because they’re not surprised. Under-age drinking happens on college campuses. I agree that binge drinking is the biggest concern, though I also find the idea of a drinking game pretty disturbing, as well as drinking as a form of competition of any sort. Sure, there’s plenty to be disturbed about here. Just be safe and remember that you didn’t work hard and get into a great school to spend your spare time wasted.

drinking games could lead to binge which is a concern but it is also a nice opportunity to socialize.

I don’t think that you’ll find any shortage of opportunities to socialize at Rice!

BerkeleyMom is cool. =]

Ha! Thanks Modulation. I was about to say…now do I sound like YOUR mom? (-:

theendusputrid did you end up picking rice?

Martel and Lovett play a lot of Kings, though that’s probably a better game when you know people more since it’s more chill and interactive than beer pong.
And for what it’s worth I drink on a regular basis and have NEVER played beer pong, haha. Just think it’s boring, would prefer to talk with friends or dance. But whatev.

Oh Kings the card one… nevermind. I think I played this with the Jacks card instead

another good one would be the rock-paper-scissor one that is similar to flip cup. I think it is called Anchor
