Tiger Woods

Nike is done with him. Mark my words. They may let the dust settle for a little while, but they are gone.

I’m beginning to agree with MoWC. This is what…Day 12 of this? This is a slow news time and with these daily (sometimes hourly!) newsflashes, there is no sign of a slowing down. His sponsors have to be taking notice. Not saying that he is out for good…but I cannot imagine seeing any commercials in the the next month with him in them. He has become a punch line. Rightfully so, IMHO.

Tiger Woods just lost an endorsement.

Yeah, right, decided months ago!

I think now with all the news came out, he will loose a lot of endorsement because it’s not just one or two affairs. I think the marriage is not going to last. This marriage is a laughing stock. The kids are too young to remember anything.

From what I’m seeing on the Internet, Tiger also is being linked to 3 porn stars. I don’t think there are any companies that want a wide audience that are interested in having their endorsers connected with porn.

she needs to move forward and get on with her life.

i do think there are marriages that can survive infidelity but this is an over the top situation (extreme) and no one can blame her for divorcing him and moving on quickly.

if reports are true and he does have serious problems with alcohol and drugs, his children shouldn’t have to live in a house with him where they feel like they have to walk on eggshells.

If the porn stars are true? That is the end of the marriage and the end of a lot of the endorsements. I think he could have survived the waitresses. I also think, given that he has never been tested by bad publicity before, we may be about to see a spectacular disaster. You know…the higher they are…and all that.

Can’t quite get to “poor tiger the prisoner in his own house” but if he’s reading CC (LOL), I highly recommend he get to treatment ASAP…just to continue with all the initials.

Agree with everything 07 Dad said, also.

I will, along with my friend “Big Bertha.” :)

Ahhh, I think I figured it out. Tiger must have a slight hearing impairment. He musta thought Nike’s motto was “Just do her”. Easy to see how he could get that confused. He was just trying to follow the dictum of his sponsor. What a great guy.

If he was doing porn stars, TW was following lots of folks who had dictum.

When one door closes…well the other advertising door opens. How bout a “Big Tiger”" putter, guaranteed to hit the hole everytime! Or the pork industry, “Eat a pig, all them girls did!”

Sorry, he makes it too easy.

Perhaps the best thing for her and the kids right now is to move to Sweden—get away from Tiger and his baggage.

Somehow I think that TW’s lawyers will try to stop that move.

I heard this on the radio today and thought it funny:
*
"No more Tiger Woods. He’s now Cheetah Woods. "*

LOL

My own disappointment is tempered by the fact that I quit rooting for him this summer. Seemed like it was time for some young guys to win a few.

<<perhaps the=“” best=“” thing=“” for=“” her=“” and=“” kids=“” right=“” now=“” is=“” to=“” move=“” sweden—get=“” away=“” from=“” tiger=“” his=“” baggage.=“”>></perhaps>

I still don’t think the court system will allow the kids to be taken out of the country. The courts don’t allow kids to be taken out of the state in a lot of cases. Of course, this is a unique situation that the courts are not used to. But if Tiger is a highly involved father, the courts may prevent her from taking the kids out of the country. But given that he is gone playing tournaments frequently, and when home seems to be at the Blue Martini in Orlando, he may not be interested in being a father.

Wonder how much of the sentiments, in relation to both TW and Elin, are driven by schadenfreude. Have to confess there is certainly an element of this in my feelings from the perspective of: why should a guy whose main claim to fame is to hit balls into little holes far away be rewarded the way he was by society.

I remember someone using the term"spitzerfreude"…lol.
I must admit, the more I hear about the waitresses and the porn stars, and the sordid activity within his own home, the more I think it’s cool that he was cracked with a golf club.
I don’t like to see good people go down. Tiger’s wife is gorgeous and rich and I feel awfully sorry for her. Tiger is a sleazebag of the highest order based on these reports. Honestly, I hope he loses ALL of his endorsements. It’s what he deserves…

There’s no evidence he was hit with a golf club. He was admitted to the hospital as an OD and she actually couldn’t open the door. It seems more likely he drove off in a drugged out stupor and hit a tree and she dragged him out of the car. What evidence do we have so far that she would even hit anyone. Speculation.

If he had any decency, he’d let Elin take the kids away from the circus. Someone made the point that the first time she takes the kids out in public, there will be a press frenzy that wouldn’t be particularly safe for the children. If she wants to go to Sweden, Tiger should allow that to happen, at least till things die down. So what if he has to be inconvenienced by traveling there to see the kids. This is his fault, after all.
