Actually, TW has historically referred to himself as “cabalasian”, which is a combination of Caucasian, Asian, American Indian, and Black. This came up early in his career in interviews.

I thought black/Asians were Bro-riental

The mistresses are getting a bad rap as being a bunch of slutty slugs. But at least one is an accomplished actress: [Joslyn James - Dating, Gossip, News, Joslyn James Photos](Who is Joslyn James dating? Joslyn James boyfriend, husband) toward the bottom of the linked page is a list of her screen credits…quite an impressive body of work.

I’m sure that her acting ability is what got her the part with Tiger. I’ll bet she’s so convincing, it’s hard to tell she’s acting at all.

You have to wonder which came first, the chicken or the egg. Is it really a complete coincidence that someone who has a single minded obsession or capacity for something (golf, just as an example) might also have tendencies toward OCD, addiction or similar issues? On the other hand whether it’s narcissism, addiction, celebrity status allowing for bad behavior, one’s early history or none of the above, what is the difference? Sure, you can try to understand the root cause(s) of someone’s behavior, but if you were in Elin Woods’ position, would it really change what you would do about the situation?

I think this is why this case is so fascinating. Tiger, to me, seemed the epitome of discipline. And to find out he is completely out of control in a different aspect of his life is stunning.

Yes the psychological/sociological aspects of the case are what is keeping me riveted and wondering what is going to happen, as well as keep returning to this thread. Which by the way is 69 pages now! I remember when someone was complaining back when it was 25 pages of gossip.

It’s really surprising to me how many posters here are trying to identify and comprehend some rare and complicated pathology on Tiger’s part. I’m guessing most of these posters are female. I can’t believe that a person with insiders’ access to the male mind would be at all surprised.

He slept with a bunch of attractive women. Wow!! He likes it rough. Oh, my!! Some of the women were not paragons of virtue or college grads. Holy crap!! He didn’t use protection. You gotta be kiddin’ me!! Wake up, ladies. This is not unusual. Have you never talked to anyone who was in the military? Have you never talked to anyone who went to a business convention in Las Vegas? Have you never watched “Californication”?

^1 in 5 has herpes, thats’ the chance you take without protection.

I saw a cover of a tabloid today that said Tiger was suicidal. Or words to that effect. affect? I think the exact words were “TIGER SUICIDAL?” First time I cursed the short line at the drugstore, didn’t have time to read it while waiting.

I checked out a few other web sites to see what the Tiger discussions were like. None had people pondering which bizarre psychological syndrome he was trapped in. While the educational level (and spelling ability) of the collegeconfidential posters is clearly higher, the posters at the other sites seem to skip all the psycho-babble and get right to the heart of the matter. Here are a couple quotes:

“Maybe Erin turned out to just another harpie like most wifes do eventually.
No mater how hot they look, there is always someone who has just had enough of their s%#&e. When you move on to a new on, you are getting a pre harpie mode chick, with a best before date. It’s better to rent.” (Schmaltz’s note: this guy actually spelled “sh#t” incorrectly…adding an “e” a the end of the word. But his explanation of a “pre harpie mode chick” might be quite germane to the discussion.)

“lets face it most men love skanks… its the exact reason why skanks are multiplying before our eyes.
competition is tough hence the fake boobs and all body parts.
good woman is old story!
and as for tiger wood’s wife, if the allegation is true she should just leave him. once a cheater always a cheater…get your money and live your quiet life elsewhere. dont waste your time with someone who obvioulsy doenst care for you. youre still young and can be happy again.”

Here’s the web page those comments came from (scroll down past the pics): [SPORTSbyBROOKS Rachel Uchitel Pics: Tiger Woods Alleged Mistress](http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/rachel-uchitel-pics-tiger-woods-alleged-mistress-27172)

Schmaltz…well, I’ve gotta hand it to CCers who are not blaming Elin for Tiger’s wanderings. Ya see, if the allegations are true, he was wandering outside of marriage from the beginning and so it really wasn’t about what his wife did or didn’t do. Tiger has issues and I imagine he would have done this no matter whom he had married. He obviously isn’t into commitment to one woman. Even with his mistresses, he was seeing many at once. So, what’s the reason for that? Using your logic, were these mistresses not putting out? Were they giving him lots of crap? Ya see, it really is not the women’s fault. It really is about Tiger’s own issues.

In any case, many of your posts come across as “all men do this” and “women should expect spouses to do this” and you seem to justify it. I don’t know how old you are or if you are married but I hope you are not married and don’t plan on it any time soon.

I had a look at a few sites for infidelity and saw 45%-55% for women and 50% to 60% for men in the US/UK. Clearly all men don’t do this.

I wonder if the infidelity rate will go down for men given our videogame age.

“Wake up, ladies. This is not unusual.”
Hah…well I can’t say I know ANY women who would put up with this kind of crap from their husbands. Nor do I think it would be that easy to hide. Maybe I just run in different circles. Guys with these tendencies should stay single. And many of them end up that way anyway. What goes around comes around…

Tiger is doing what most men fantasize about (except the getting caught part). If your average man had beautiful women throwing themselves at him, he would have a series of brief physical relationships while always looking for the next one. The problem for many men is that they are just average. Women don’t throw themselves at them and they actually fear losing their wives and children if they can find women who will marry them. Tiger’s behavior is basically normal male behavior. What I can’t believe is how long he got away with it.

Given that we are currently being told that this is “normal male behavior,” I wonder at any woman signing a pre-nup. I just wouldn’t do it. Since you are going to cheat, I already do not trust you and so…forget it.

OTOH, why do men bother to get married? I mean, seriously? What is the point?

I mean, if one woman is not sexually satisfying? Why bother?

Personally, whenever I hear a man complaining about not having sex with his wife, ie Chris Rock, I just think, man you must be horrible in bed. I always laugh to hear that line. Men who can’t satisfy a woman complaining about not getting enough sex. I just feel sorry for a woman who has to sleep with such ineptitude.

I know several divorces which happened because of infidelity, and it was the woman and not the man who cheated. One woman? She just went on and on about her exes complete lack of imagination. So, yeah, I think given the numbers, it is hardly a male thing.

But, unprotected sex is really different. I think it ought to be criminalized in the case where an ususpecting spouse is exposed to such flagrant disregard to health and life.

Committing adultery used to be a crime in most states but that is no longer true. It would be interesting to see if a law regarding unprotected behavior would pass a legislature.

OK. Here’s the deal. Tiger is a “high T” guy (testosterone). Makes sense. Google it. Here’s one article.
[Men with high testosterone levels ‘more likely to have multiple wives’](http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/health/men-with-high-testosterone-levels-more-likely-to-have-multiple-wives_100239253.html)
Personally, I would go for the low t guys when looking for a life partner. Check out the ring fingers.

Some of the male posters here are probably high t guys ( I know this is flattering to you). Probably bald too (anyone notice that Tiger is losing his hair?).

<<otoh, why=“” do=“” men=“” bother=“” to=“” get=“” married?=“” i=“” mean,=“” seriously?=“” what=“” is=“” the=“” point?=“”>></otoh,>

Actually, why do women bother to get married?

How many people here believe like me that 3 years from now, Tiger will have lots of sponsorships, another classy, beautiful wife who’s more tolerant than Elin, and most people will have forgotten about this scandal?
