Tiger Woods

“Slipping”? Gloria Allred slipped into sleaze long ago. So avid and ardent a swimmer in the sleaze slime pool is Gloria Allred, that she could medal in the event. I despise the very sight of her. And she can’t even claim that her behavior stems from any sort of addiction—unless that addiction is money.

milkandsugar,

Yes, some people revel in other people’s misfortunes. They enjoy watching car wrecks, too.

Lots of people at CC seemed to get off on a particular candidate’s personal family foibles last year. And this year.

Can’t explain it, though.

Please leave the political discussions in the pol forum.

poetheart, I never really heard of her til the Peterson case, and I thought she handled that women(?), can’t think of her name, fairly well. But I guess I misjudged her. She makes Jeanine Pirro look like a saint.

Sorry, jym.

Just calling it like I am seeing it. Another poster asked why this particular behavior was okay…I said it wasn’t and made an alluded reference to it. It’s not “political” to observe this, and I cannot understand why it’s not okay to reference this type of behavior. People thread hop and make references to other things all the time here.

In terms of watching the fall of Tiger or others like him, sports, celebrity, or political figures…It’s just an unfortunate side effect of people’s human nature.

So if there is a sex addiction, why not a money addiction? Sounds like a good defense for Madoff.

Seems on internet forums in general (not just on cc), people find it easier to be critical behind the anonimity of the screen. But judging people for being judgemental, isn’t that the same thing?

And references to politicians, their families or to discussions in the political forum need, IMO, to stay there.

It seems Tiger’s Mother and Mother in law may have believed him (perhaps SIL too)

I have no idea if his apology was sincere, but I have no doubt it was humbling.

I don’t care why he did it, or whether he was totally honest or whether he can stick to his promises - making his statement would have been devastating.

As far as I am concerned this is over now. Sometimes I feel like we are a bunch of modern day Puritans hell-bent on covering his swoosh with a scarlet A. Okay, maybe a lot of A’s - but you get my point.

AT least Tiger isn’t dead as the result of his affairs like Steve McNair. According to many here on CC, that scarlet A should have been on McNair’s casket!

Tiger has lost his sense of humor.

Did he ever HAVE a sense of humor? ;)

Laughing out loud! “Little tigers”- OMG, PETA can be funny!

Has anyone seen the clip of the SouthPark episode that will air Weds. about Tiger Woods?

And now there’s a text-erasing app named after him, i think available for iPhones and then for other brands a little later. Too funny, shades of Mission Impossible, “this message will self-destruct after 60 seconds”…whhoosh!

Yep–even if Tiger and Elin actually do succeed in patching this up, there will always be a large trail of cultural debris to not let them (or their kids) forget it. Ah, the price of “fame” and celebrity status.

I heard the founder of the company for the TigerText on the radio. They copyrighted the name well before the scandal…but I don’t think they are going to change the name of their company.

When Tiger resumes playing, don’t you know he will have hecklers when he’s taking his shots and puts? He’s always been rather arrogant and proud; I can’t see him tolerating that kind of thing for long. I could totally see him retiring if he has to take much crap from the audience on a regular basis.
