Time to Show Your Age - Who Was Your Teen Crush?

He was an angelic looking boy/child. He was rumored to be Michael Jackson’s sperm donor (for Paris); idk if there is any truth to that or not, and I don’t think he’s ever denied it…

Shaun Cassidy. So typical. Then Andy Gibb came along. He was smoldering compared to Shaun and I was tempted by his more bad-boy image. That really amuses me to think about now.

P.S. I was sure everyone would say Shaun Cassidy, lol.

Had to go back and look at Andy. Man, he had a lot of teeth! And a lot of hair!

David McCallum (Man from Uncle), Bobby Sherman, David Soul (Here Come the Brides), Davy Jones

Edit… oops…all pre-teen

Teen crushes: Mick Jagger, Leonard Nimoy

Oh no… Star Trek is pre-teen, too.

I was boy crazy from a very early age. Can picture my Kindergarten and second grade classmate crushes, their names and all our interactions.

Rex Smith (one hit wonder You Take My Breath Away and a bad after school movie), and 1970s Chicago Cub 2nd baseman Manny Trillo (pretty sure that one is going to be unique, lol). I even made a keychain with his uniform number on it.

Michael J. Fox - remember going to see Back to the Future with my friends at least 5 times and cheering the first time he came on the screen

Davy Jones

David Cassidy
Robert Redford

Curious now who people would list as their current celebrity crushes?

Mine are Alexander Skarsgard and Sam Heughan. ; )

Did no one say Donny Osmond??! As a young teen, but I was so CRUSHED.

A little older, more 20ish I might say Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueller) and I have always had a little crush/admiration for Michael J Fox.

Would love to turn the pages on a Tiger Beat magazine from the early-mid 70’s.

Love Alexander Skarsgard, just saw a clip of him as Dark Man in Stephen King’s The Stand (due later this fall).

Brad Pitt, too, always.

As mentioned I’m not the crushing type but I wouldn’t kick Tom Hardy out of bed for eating crackers - or his lips. :sunglasses:

Young me, I always liked an edgy type - young Johnny Depp, young Billy Idol were more my speed.

Donny Osmond

Well, I just saw Henry Cavill in Enola Holmes and he is reasonably kind on the eyes. And I’ll always be a little in love with George Clooney.

Jack Wild (Artful Dodger) - but only because my neighbor won the coin toss and got to claim Mark Lester as her crush. Bobby Sherman, David Soul, Mark Hamill. I was first in line to buy Tiger Beat and 16 when they came in to the local store.

^^^ OMG when I saw “Jack Wild” the first thing I thought of was HR Pufnstuf!!! I think because I had a younger brother and he would watch.

I was 10 when I saw Oliver, so while Mark Lester was young, so was I! Jack Wild was too bad boy for me, but did enjoy looking at him in H.R. Pufnstuf!

My dad had a gourmet grocery store, which sold magazine, so I was able to take home every issue of Tiger Beat, Teen and 16 magazine. My walls were plastered with all the guys! I was a member of both the Mark Lester and Jack Wild fan club, as I didn’t want to play favorites  I am sure I joined other fan clubs, but don’t remember which ones.

Harrison Ford. I immediately fell for him when I first saw Star Wars in elementary school.

No celeb crushes as a teen (I tended to have crushes on guys at my high school).

These days I like to look at Kevin Bacon and Bradley Cooper.

Not sure how I forgot to add (young) James Spader; I married his double. We could have been comped at several restaurants where it was clear the maitre d thought there was a celebrity in the house, but DH always said “No, I’m not him.” People stared all the time. He had the looks, but not the voice.

I posted on the movies tread that Cavill was the best thing about that movie. He was the only good thing about The Tudors.

Barry+Andy=Sigh.

Pre teen and teen Paul McCartney. Would literally cry at the thought of meeting him. Then moved on to George Harrison. Had every Beatle thing imaginable. My mother even scored tennis shoes with the Beatle faces on them for me. Wish I had kept them! I probably wore the soles off them.

Later Brad Pitt.
